Nope, he basically tried to ban Max from anything that he didn't own or part own, so Deals on Wheels is ok.

I think it will take her a long time to do so. I wonder whether she'll move into one of the flats or something to stay out of his way or just blank Max in the house? With her new found friendship of sorts with Stacey, I think she'll blame Max for the affair with Lucy and the affair with Stacey. Lauren wants to remember her friend as she knew her so laying all the blame at Max's door is easier to do.

I agree with all of this. Did Phil get banned from everywhere in the Square when it was revealed he knew Ben murdered Heather? Lots of people hated Jay for not saying Ben did it and for witnessing it like Max and Cora had a go at him but not Phil . Why should Max be banned from the Laundrette which Phil or Ian doesn't own that is not Phil's decision to make Phil doesn't decide where Max can't go Max is a grown man. If I was EP I would have had Phil as the man sleeping with Lucy and then have Max and Alfie ban Phil from the Café, the Vic, the Laundrette, Deals On Wheels, The Chippy and the Restaurant. The trouble is that nobody knows the truth of the relationship, they don't know that Lucy was chasing him. Also, it is a natural, normal reaction for the deceased not to be blamed in these situations - it appears unseemly "don't speak ill of the dead" so it is, to an extent inevitable that the one left alive shoulders all the blame even if unfair.

I don't think it matters that Phil doesn't own or manage the launderette, minute mart, Vic etc - he was supposed to be speaking on behalf of the whole community - his exact words were "you're not one of us" - "us" being Albert Squares community. Of course he doesn't have the right to speak for all of them but that is what he was doing.

I know I've said it before, but,, I like watching the truly flawed characters and Max is definitely one of them. No need for Phil to stick his oar in and then they shoehorned Alfie as his wingman?

I did feel sorry for him. He hasn't committed a crime. Lauren didn't seem all that bothered by it and Ian is hardly one to judge since he had sex with Janine even though he's known her since she was a little kid. Lucy was well up for it with Max but no one will ever find that out or speak badly about her since she's dead. For once I'm on Max's side.

It seems that just because Lucy Beale is dead, she is being painted as some sort of angel when she was far, far from it. Lucy knew what she was getting into when she got involved with a man like Max Branning and at the end of the day, it takes two to tango.

Phil is simply the king of hypocrites on the Square and this was confirmed for the umpteenth time in yesterday's episode when he confronted and wanted to alienate Max. Because I think Alfie is still answerable to him re certain things in the Square maybe, then I suppose he got bullied into accompanying him to Max's front door. You could tell Alfie didn't want to be there.....

I feel more sorry for Jake Wood being expected to play out this crap. Max getting involved with Lucy in the first place is comletely ridiculous and all a pathetic attempt to make her seem half-interesting so we invest in the murder story.
