I decided to download all three as I have only ever listened to some of her later singles.

Age is Nothing But a Number is mediocre at best.

One In a Million is a huge step up I can see why many of her die hard fans call it her best however I think her final album Aaliyah is her best work.

More Than A Woman is such a TUNE btw that is partially why I think 2001s Aaliyah is the best.

yes Aaliyah is her best album.
its what makes it all the more sad as she was just getting better and better.
who knows where she would stand in the industry now if she were still around ?
i cant even think about it without feeling like im about to cry :'(

I only own/have listened to Aaliyah's eponymous album.

There are some great songs on there, especially Rock the Boat, What If, Miss You. I used to HATE that type of contemporary R&B as a child but I've grown to enjoy it lately.

Her sudden death was such a shame really, it's hard to believe that a singer whose music career spanned almost a decade died at the young age of 22. She really packed in many achievements into her short life.

I liked One In A Million the best. It presented her as a more mature and complete artist. Tracks like the album title itself as well as Hot Like Fire are very impressive. It showed how much she enjoyed working with Timberland.

I completely agree that 'Aaliyah' is her strongest album, while 'Age Ain't Nothing But a Number' is pretty average overall. Getting Timbaland as a producer did wonders for her music, but even the tracks that Timbaland didn't produce on 'One in a Million' and the self-titled are much better than most of her debut. She really did improve with every album, so it's a real shame that we'll never know whether she could have got even better.

One in a million, her other two albums are patchy.

her self titled is my favourite, although AANBAN is full of some good songs too...

this song always reminds me of At Your Best https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzRjAla8ems I know some people might not agree with me, but I think her younger voice sounds quite Aaliyah-esque
