Nicki Minaj- Pills N Potions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRiVZPQl-RM
Here is the link to Nicki's brand new single, off the Pink Print, Pills N Potions. Personally I love it and reminds of her 'Pink Friday' style. |

Not what I was expecting AT ALL, but it's really good. It's so laid back chill, I think it's perfect for the summer especially.
From the looks of things she's toning down the wackiness which is good. I wonder if this will give her her first #1... |

I much prefer "Lookin Ass" to this, production reminds me of Royals in places. I don't see it being a hit outside the US though.

Being a massive Nicki fan myself, my opinion will always be slightly biased. So it's so nice to see initial positivity surrounding the track and not just on here.

I love it. Gives me high hopes that the album will show many different sides to her. It does have a bit of a Royals vibe and I'm not sure it has any staying power but it's a nice taster of what's to come.

Reminds me of some of Nicki's older songs like Your Love. I'm so here for this.

This song is bland and isn't singleworthy at all. It fits much better as an album track.

Listened to this twice and really like it.
You can tell she's taking a different approach now, less of the dance tunes and crazy costumes and more of a mature sound and look. I think it will work well for her. |

i love nicki, and i love this song. it very much reminds me of when she first started working commercially. it has a ''your love'' feel about it.
however, i dont think this will be a big hit, the fact its nowhere to be seen on the itunes USA top 200 is quite an indication of where it will go. i think it will be labelled a 'buzz single'', and a way of the record company gauging what to exactly put on the album to make it a commercial success. |

I actually really like it, it does remind me of her first album a fair bit. I enjoyed the odd 'dance' tune from Nicki, but that's not what made me like her and I'm glad to see she's returning to a less 'cartoon' version of herself.

Really happy she's turning a corner. Loved her very early stuff, then she just became another bewigged dance pop Katy/Gaga clone. Her new makeunder looks fantastic and this song is brilliant.

She will probs start winning back respect from the rap world now. They did turn against her by labelling her as a sell out and even Urban radios were not playing her because she went all "dance pop" on the majority of her last album. Nicki herself found her at odds with many interviewers when they would label her as a "pop star" when she considers herself as a "rapper". I did like her dance pop songs but Nicki is at her best when she is doing Urban music and I assume The Pink Print will be a return to this.
