I think Joan has been brilliantly portrayed in series 2..I am just waiting for her to be called "The Freak" and to see what she will do to get the name!!

So far the blue tinge seems to have gone, we have vocals to the theme tune and we have had no flashbacks to characters yet!

Excellent start to series 2. Love Bea, love Doreen, love Liz, love Vera, Fletch and Will and love Bloomer! Nice to see the cameo from Jacs, will miss her but her story was told. Now paves the way for Bea to get darker, and I hope she gets to Brayden come the end of this season! Debbie's death was so moving last season
Shame we never got a proper exit for Erica and closure for her and Frankie. I really hated Frankie this ep, attacks Bea like she did.
Joan Ferguson seems like she will be a great baddie, one of the love to hate chAracters!
I never seen PCBH, considered watching it but prefer not to know much with this we series!

Amazing first episode. Felt like loads had changed though. Weird seeing Bea drugged up and Franky so evil. The Freak defo looks like she will be the star of this series. Perfect casting. Slightly worried where her fixation with Doreen is heading though!!

Loved the Lou Kelly reference. Linda is a dark horse!! she is more like the original vinegar tits than Vera actually is!!

I'm really hoping Erica appears at least once this season but it looks like she is gone. I think Leeanna must have quit. What a shame. They should have locked all the actors on two year deals. It feels like all the Erica and Franky stuff was a waste of time now.

Only thing I hated. The vocals over the theme! wtf

The new Ferguson is very good and quite different to the original. So far she appears to possibly be a bit smarter than she was. Or at least a bit more subtle. The first Joan/Doreen one to one scene was more creepy than the one in Cell Block. As new Ferguson is clearly a lesbian like the old one was i think Doreen will be her 'special project'

I knew that Frankie would show her true colours in full once Jacs was out of the way. I'm not that devastated to see Erica go, i didn't really find her all that compelling and the Erica/Franky love thing was a rehash of a Bad Girls storyline. The Bad Girls one was better but even that bored me really so you can imagine how much the inferior version would bore me lol

I keep wondering if Vera is ever going to become more like the original.

I find Bea the most boring character tbh, i am waiting to see how they will develop her in this series as i am guessing she will eventually come into her own. But so far in all of Series 1 and this first episode of 2 she has been quite weak imho, but the end scene of her flushing her pills away seems a promising sign as did the clips for Episode 2.

I can't see that youtube video lasting very long. Anyone planning to watch it better be quick or you'll have to find it elsewhere.

Brilliant first episode of second series. I really hope Bea gets revenge on Brayden Holt soon.

I love this Bea more than the original. Controversial I know but it feels like we have gone on a real journey with her. From domestically abused housewife to cold blooded killer is quite the reach. Her journey to top dog is going to be interesting.

We never saw anything about how Bea became top dog in the original. She was already there when it started. So I like how we have seen her change into what she became.

I have a feeling its going to be the same with The Freak. While Joan was a great character for her first 200 or so episodes. She quickly became a parody and a joke. I think New Joan is going to answer us all the questions that we never had answered. I love the OCD references. There are signs new Joan is corrupt but she isn't out and out evil yet. So something must trigger that. I'm wondering if Doreen is going to be this Joan's ''Audrey''.

Really loved the first episode of the 2nd series. Love Joan and Frankie. Did I suspect an attraction from Joan towards Doreen?

A great improvement to last year. A better structure. Tighter writing. A beautiful introduction to "The Fixer".

Just seen that all eps from The original are on YouTube so going to make a start on that thought it may take a while! Never seen the original bit reading up on it, really want to give it a go now!

Maybe but this is a reimaging so I suppose its all fair game.

Perhaps Doreen will be caught in the middle of the Bea vs Frankie top dog fight and end up being badly beaten as a result.

I'm not convinced Joan is going to last as governor. I reckon she will be demoted to deputy at some point and I still believe Erica will be back. It just seems too open ended and I find the silence from Leeanna Walsman and the producers odd unless they were hiding something.

Its well worth it.

Wentworth could run for at least six seasons. They shouldn't burn out all the characters too fast. Esp as it appears they have lost Erica already!

I think Linda is based on Colleen. Makes me wonder why they just didn't call her that but with Colleen not being used by name they could maybe bring her in as governor?

I'm hoping Chrissie, Lou and Margo all appear at some point. Lou was mentioned as being in C Block. Imagine if she does appear! If Chrissie does appear they had just better keep her as a cockney slag! lol

I actually thought given the Freak and Chrissie's quite violent relationship it would have been ideal to have her in the second season. Would love to see them recreate this scene.

IT is really disturbing, the fact that Joan is after Vera. Good episode, I guess frankie tries to escape next time.

This was the best episode of the entire run so far. Joan is actually more scary than the original. Pamela Rabe is an exceptional actress. I'm pleased Frankie showed some remorse for what happened to the Korean girl but she seems out of control at the moment.

Wonder how exactly Bea is planning to get her revenge? Simone is back next week. I wonder if Bea will use her to kill Braden? I can't believe how far Bea has come since the first episode! she is a totally different character now.
