just random thought,

Am i the only remaining person who would love to see westlife being reunited again, is there anyone who still admires them? yes they have just disbanded and said will never be back again, but i have this wishful thinking that one day 5 years or more from now, they will be back again as a band (with brian mcfadded), DO THEIR OWN MUSIC, as they are capable of, be big again, be better and reestablish themselves again as one of the best boybands ever.

I don't admire them but I do like their music from 1999-2003 and the Gravity album, I hate that whole cheesy period Inbetween.

I wouldn't mind a new album and tour from them, without Bryan as I don't like him, and hopefully they don't do that Boyzone thing.

I suspect they will be back at some point. Shane needs the money.

i always have this though of them reuniting with mcfadden... as it will somehow bring nostalgic experience from 1998-2003

hehe

i admire them, i admire their voices, talent and character as a group and as individual people..

indeed, we cant erase the fact that they are one of the most successful boyband act to date

I wouldn't mind it if he did reform with them, I've just never really been a fan of his voice and I don't think they need him back. Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian have enough talent to carry a reunion (especially Shane and Mark).

They were incredibly successful considering, much like Take That, they never broke America, selling 50 million records worldwide.

No. They had their time and if anything, they carried on too long
They went from a great boyband, to a man band who relied heavily on other people's past hits.

He was declared bankrupt not long ago. He's not suddenly minted.

I don't know why you made this thread coun3spice - you just know there will be 10 nice posts and 10000 insulting ones about Westlife

Anyway, I'm pretty sure they will be back one day, but that is in the far future, say 5-10 years. Also, you said they all confirmed they won't reform - that is true, but since they ended, everyone said they would like to reunite one day, even KIan who was the most against reunion,

And despite Shane's bankruptcy. he has a decent solo career, or else he wouldn't be expanding his tour dates.

Also, I never understood the comments about certain artists "they stayed too long". I think every artist can have a career as long as he wants, especially if he loves what he does, and if they still have a fanbase.

In Westlife's case, it is not like their concerts weren't sold out or that albums couldn't even reach Top 20. Sure, their popularity did decrease over the years, just like it happens with every artist, but they still had success so why quit on that? Besides, if they split up sooner, then they wouldn't have made Where We Are ad Gravity which in my opinion are the best albums they ever recorded.

No. I loved them from 1999-2004 but went off them after that. I think they outstayed their welcome. They were a product of their time.

i think you will be saying that too to one direction 5 or more years from now!

sorry for this.... i am just curious if the 10000 haters from here reflects the total demographic of uk / ireland? in fairness to them , their greatest hits album is consistent in itunes top 300 in uk / ireland.. as compare to other boybands who are not..

they are still in demand in asia and african countries, i musty say latin countries too... based also from the itunes chart... if they reform as a band again, CREATE AN EXCELLENT MATERIAL... im very sure they can regain the SAME POPULARITY that they had at their earlier years... yes their popularity have decreased but they are still popular.

i will repeat what zeze said, as long as you love what you're doing and you are still capable to to a show and make it big... (sold out concerts, considerable hit album - which westlife achieved before they end) anyone can continue..

does anyone know where they have gone? they both seems like to have disappeared. If any forum host from these 2 forums see this please tell me if you have closed the forums! i miss them, i miss westlife and i miss my innocence when i like them and write comments on them.

i think they need to live their life well and when they sing their songs that are about their lives they would be amazing. Hard to imagine them working all their 20s and grow up like this, they don't have time for themselves and do some reflections.

maybe do a christmas songs album or catholic songs album. i've always imagined shane's daughter nicole singing children's lullabies that calm children to sleep. the westlife kids can form a little westlife kidband haha.

When/if they come back, they should definitely do an original album. If the first thing they release will be a cover, they can forget about any credibility or respect. However, since both Shane, Mark and Nicky are writing their own songs and even Kian admitted his next album will be original - I'm sure they could do this.

Here is another proof how Kian is more and more up for Westlife reunion in the future, he said this on Twitter:

So 1D are in Croke Park this weekend! Make's me think of all the times Westlife rocked that place! Who knows maybe we'll get there again

Funny, he was the one who was strongly against any reunion.

Same here. They took the already rather middle of the road concept of the boy band and painted it beige.
