Eastenders Ep Thread 22/5/14 - Phils flowing follicles finally face the chop
Welcome to tonight's Eastenders Episode Thread everybody
And my first attempt at one, so bare with me.In this episode, the moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived - Phil Mitchell is going to a barbershop ![]() No longer will we have to put up with his flowing locks stealing every scene, or Denny throwing jealous, biscuit-fueled rages that his step-daddy's bowl haircut is bigger than his. Here's what's in store tonight folks, though I fear the copy/paste button didn't get the exact spoiler wording right ![]() ![]() Episode Synopsis:
Spoiler
Next up, I thought we'd take a look at the many haircuts of Phil Mitchell through the nineties, noughties, and today - Because he's worth it ![]() 1. The 'BoJo' - Later made famous and named after the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, a little known fact that the Mayor of Walford, Phil Mitchell, was actually the first to pioneer this bouncy blonde number in the nineties: http://imgur.com/vUUMaUv 2. Big Pub Landlord Hair - Little Phil Mitchell learnt the pub trade from his larger than life mother, so it's no surprise that he takes tips from her in everything - from how to throw a party, to this voluminous, sassy do: http://imgur.com/xBQVWgD 3. Will you get me to the church on time? - There wasn't a dry eye in the house when Phil decided to marry his one true love in the mid-noughties. Though his stylist made him run several hours late, no one can deny that the wait was worth it for this blonde beauty. But what on Earth are these lovebirds arguing about?! :http://imgur.com/3wPc8oW 4. The 'Rough and Ready' look - In 2012, Phil went undercover to find his AWOL step-son Ian. A true method actor, he took to the streets and left no trolley unturned in his hunt for his favourite weasel. Can you spot the difference: http://imgur.com/EaYlrjg That concludes the Phil Mitchell Summer 2014 lookbook everybody - For bonus points, I didn't photoshop one of these images, but can you guess which one! ![]() Cast List:
Spoiler
That's all folks - enjoy the episode. |

Thanks for the thread!
Laughing out loud at the wacky nicknames you've given people. Shame Alfie's not in it tonight I would have loved to know what nickname you would have given him, Biffer Moon - stealer of kneecaps or something like that! Pmsl! ![]() ![]()

Don't think I've ever laughed so hard at an episode thread, J-B. Amazing job. Quote:

Not much of an EE fan these days, but I had to pop in just to give J-B a standing ovation for this most brilliant virgin thread, which had me ROFL-ing.
Well done, pal - obviously a lot of work went into it and it's more than paid off. ![]() ![]() In fact, having read the 'spoilers', I might actually have to watch it tonight. ![]() ..

I just voted in the poll but I got it wrong!
![]() My BSA votes for EE were Danny for Sexiest Male, Lindsay for Best Actress and EE for Best Soap. I voted for Keiron Richardson in HO for Best Actor but completely forgot that and voted for Danny here. As much as I love him I really do want to see Kieron win it this year. And I was so tempted to vote for Janine as Best Villain but Sienna in HO just edged it for me.

Fab thread Hard to choose but my favourite bit wasQuote:
Later, Phil finds Dean at his barber shop. Phil manages to get Dean to cut his hair and he actually listens to what Phil has to say - "I'm telling you Dean, he ain't allowed in the Minute mart, the launderette, Mcklunkies, or that Sari Shop down Bridge Street."
along with Stan "Power Shower" Carter.

Thanks for the thread, J-B!
I gather from this thread that you are another one that isn't a fan of Phil Mitchell. Perhaps the same pain Phil receives by Dean, can be inflicted on Lauren by Lola for weighing in on her man. I just know you will be a fan of my suggestion .

This thread has cracked me up, especially the bits about Phil's haircut although I'm not surprised to hear those jokes, Phil going to a barbers was definitely going to warrant a few jokes
I loved the cast names too, JB is one of the consistently funny people on this forum and this thread has continued on from that, love this thread. Pumped for tonight's episode too, really looking forward to discovering more about what happened that caused Shirley to try to drown Mick when he was a child. I'm one person who would hate for it to be revealed that Shirley is Mick's mum but I can seen it coming big time during the Summer. |
