Redeeming Patrick HO
Do you think Patrick can be redeemed? Ste was, Sienna to the degree , they try so hard with Robbie. It looks like Maxine and Sienna's story lines are coming slowly to the end, Patrick had to be exposed , but will he be able to stay in the village afterwards ?
What do you think ? |

Can't see Patrick sticking around after he is found out, despite Sienna staying after her scheming was uncovered.
And "Operation Redeem Robbie" will never work with me. |

I wouldn't put it past Hollyoaks to try to redeem him, but I do not think it would work at all. Although he is not as over-the-top a villain as Finn, I think he's approaching that.

Well, Ste abused Amy, even when she was pregnant. They sent him on one of anger control courses, gave him a new job and now him and Amy are friends. Also, his unhappy childhood was revealed and fact his stepdad abused him and mum had done nothing about it. Maybe Patrick had unhappy childhood too?

They tried to redeem Brendan so they should be able to do it with Patrick.

I don't think Patrick can be redeemed. He abused Maxine very deliberately In a controlled way. He knew exactly what he was doing and that it was wrong but just didn't care.

There are certain characters they will try and redeem, Ste, Brendan, Sienna, Robbie etc but I don't think Patrick is one of them.

I don' think so, Patrick has done too many horrible things and he hasn't shown any guilt or remorse. With Patrick it's all about control. He knows exactly what he is doing and he doesn't care.
Robbie's 'redemption' also doesn't work with me either, he's another character who has done some truly horrible things without shown any guilt or remorse. |

doubt it , their is no reason for the way he is and has done horrible things to Sienna, Anna and Maxine, he doesn't even to seem to love Maxine he likes to control her.

Patrick can't be redeemed, he's done to many awful things, he knows what hes doing that's what scary about him and when hes set off who knows what he'll do next. Patrick doesn't care about anyone or anything expect power and control. Patrick said to Anna I always win, evertthing hes done Patrick gotten away with and should go to jail.

Yeah, he needs his comeuppance. He gets away with everything. The writers desperately want the audience to see him as a good lad, but I'm not buying it.

Ste and Brendan were redeemed yes but they're was actual remorse and messed up reasons to why try did what they did to their partners. But with Patrick he comes across as he has no remorse, guilt or anything to what he's doing.
Ste and Brendan were different to Patrick that's how they redeemed themselves and Sienna's in a complete different league to Patrick. |

Brendan was very different to Patrick. Patrick abuses because he strives for control and his view of perfection, Brendan was just venting his self-hatred out on someone.

I agree about Patrick but Robbie has shown guilt and remorse since learning that JP was raped.

I really really hope he is not. He is evil to the core, Sienna's problems are a result of his manipulative nature.
