Interference from some external source during the day, radio waves behave differently at night, etc....

I’ve got a wifi bridge mounted in an upstairs bedroom window for my garden wifi and have no problems but for me it’s usually the rain that stops me sitting in the garden but I don’t think I’m clever for knowing that.

Picking up a neighbhour's BTOpenzone hotspot which they only have turned on during the day? Are you connecting to your own private wi-fi network or to the BTOpenzone hotspot? My mobile often does the latter when I get home after I have been using them while out and about.
