Did you see her as someone who would have this kind of success? when you heard of her initially or heard her first few songs. Did you always think she was destined for such big success?

I am surprised by it myself; I always saw her as a low-tier rapper/singer who would maybe get the odd top 20 single but who wouldnt be seen as a big success; but I was clearly wrong! and kudos to her. Thoughts?

Work was a amazing song and I think bounce was a bit meh but since change ur life im glad she's getting the sucess n fancy n problem are amazing songs

I quite like her and a couple of her songs are alright but I don't think she's particularly brilliant. She comes across as very fake and I can't take her American accent seriously when she raps.

I think it's a huge shame that she and Nicki Minaj are the only female rappers who are finding mainstream success. Neither of them are good enough, and imo they're only successful because there's very little competition.

Angel Haze is unfortunately not really a factor (although again I don't think she's particularly brilliant either).
Azealia Banks' album will obviously never be released.

Is this the woman that ruins Ariana Grande's new single with her awful rapping?! I didn't have a clue who she was until recently. I still don't, I just keep hearing the name mentioned here and there but, upon hearing her awful cliched rapping-by-numbers on Ariana's song, if that's what she usually sounds like I don't care to hear any more! Sounds like a poor relative of Nicki Minaj and her whiney nasally voice is bad enough to my ears!! lol.

I don't think she's that great. Her flow and style are so put-on, like spaceygal's saying, Nicki's odd cousin. Anything good about Fancy is purely about the Charlie XCX's work, otherwise the song is dull.

It's a shame about Azealia as I think of the women rappers out there right now, she has the greatest potential.

Weird that Iggy AZALEA chose that as her stage name. Its so similar to Azealia. But Iggy's real name is Amethyst Kelly while Azealia Banks's real name is Azealia Banks.

On the subject of Iggy whilst not as good as the aforementioned Banks she has worked hard and tirelessly and has a good mentor in T.I pushing her. She picked the right singles has a good image and has crossover appeal. And she doesn't come across as a douchebag unlike some.

I'd say Iggy Azalea is my favourite artist at the moment I really started to love her after the release of Bounce and I was so surprised to see Work only charted at 17! She deserves a lot more chart success in the UK but I love her music and her as an artist

She chose Azalea because of where she lived, Azalea Street, and she chose Iggy because her childhood dog was called like that.

I am astonished by her succes as I didn't think Fancy would do so well in the UK and US on first listen, I love the song thjo so I'm happy it's doing so well, altho Bounce and Work should've been much bigger than they were

Yeah; maybe Work or Change Your Life will get re-released in the US off of the success of Fancy. Change Your Life especially sounds like a comeback single, not a lead.
