I agree. It's such a shame that the producers refuse to even have opening credits, let alone have them in the style that there used to be.

I don't like the current opening credit but I miss the old ones, they were the best.

I like the Hollyoaks version, and if EastEnders changed theirs to this, I would like it more than I do with the current one,

Always liked Family Affairs' with its constant obsession with the local Tube station.

eastenders because it is simple, effective and the most iconic and they haven't messed about with it, like other soaps. emmerdales is now truly awful.

Eastenders. Always makes me feel warm and safe and comfy. Just utterly classic.

I loved the 1993 theme as well.

Agreed with Home and Away - the old ones in the style of the images in the way they used to be in were by far, the best opening credits. They don't even have any now - let alone in the same style, it's a travesty from TPTB.

The Neighbours ones are pretty good - I like them - having the actual cast members in the opening shot are kind of reminiscent of Home and Away - they are very similar, although they're not quite in the same style.

I think my favourites are the 1996 Home and Away Credits and the 2003 Neighbours Titles.

Both very laid back in style, and for both shows, probably the 'least-cheesy' and most professional looking titles they ever had.

Of the UK soaps I prefer EastEnders I think, purely because of how instantly recognisable it looks/ sounds.... even though the current version of the theme/ titles seem a little more upbeat than necessary somehow.

Has to be hollyoaks - at least it is interesting.
The good thing about eastenders is at least it is short

Corrie wins a point for having the cat though

Coronation Street, what's with the pigeons? Yuk.

I like Eastenders one but not keen on Emmerdale's.

I like hollyoaks as it's always interesting to see the changes when there's newcomers or people leave.

I do like East Enders opening but mainly because every time its on I can't help but sing Anyone Can Fall in Love, which just makes me laugh xD

Hollyoaks has the best though I feel, for the past couple of years I've felt the way they show each character in a different setting gives a little insight into the character, smart for a show that's not always the best in quality.
