The wait is always the worst part in the auctions. I've honestly signed into the site about 6-7 times, looked at my bids and told myself "you're going to end up with barely any of them and have to end up settling for a load of Iran players in round 2!"

One thing that I did at the start was make a list of players that I could go for if any bids were unsuccessful. Obviously that is subject to them being available!

Yep, impressed by how much you guys remember from the Euro 2012 game. I won't be doing that for the first round, maybe when there aren't as many players left so it doesn't take long to decide on your bids I will.

Will be interesting to see how many of those players remain. I think a game like this requires a very fluid strategy, all depends on how many total players are left after round 1, how much cash you have, whether you now have the max of 2 players from one county etc.

I left it until yesterday before choosing a side. I knew I'd make too many changes if I did it any sooner. Not that that has stopped me making a few changes today. though.

My bad. Was really busy the last few weeks. I'm done now. Might change my bids though tonight. It's so difficult with so many people involved to know who to bid for. Chances are most of the top players will have multiple bids.

Yes, everyone can still tinker with bids up until the deadline. However, DO NOT in any circumstances make any altercations from 2pm until I have updated the results. This makes it harder for me to sort who gets who so I will have no choice but to invalidate all your previous bids for any players who you made a bid for after 2pm. There will be no leniency on this I'm afraid so make sure not to do it!
