In this modern age with so many technological advances why when you buy a packet of say Kellogs Bran Flakes or Oataflakes by Weetabix does a quarter of the bag still contain unedible dross??? it's a complete rip off are we meant to believe that these companys cant seperate all the rubbish and just give you at least 99% whole flakes in the box?? afterall what else would you buy knowing 25% of it is of no use

What do you think Breakfast cereals are we being ripped off here??

I don't think ive ever bought a box that is all smashed up - guess it depends on the store you buy them from, how thy handle them and how customers knock them about

Well im sure plenty of folks enjoy cereals at all different times of the day but no matter what time
you tuck in when you hit that 25% of dross at the bottom of the bag you need to open a new box
i think that kinda sucks if you buy 500g of corn flakes then thats what you should get

Anyway how do you guys get the most outta your box of cereal?? my pasta strainer does the job quite
nicely it lets all the dross slip through while retaining the flakes always guaranteed to get an extra
bowl that way

As some have said above I've rarely seen a box with many crushed bits in so not a problem here

Don't recognise the problem...........and from the replies it hardly seems that a Helpline is necessary

I have cereal for my tea......I've got muesli, cornflakes, shredded wheat, cheerios and porridge which I mix and match........but whichever combination I have I always sprinkle on two tablespoons of powdered bran from the health food shop

keeps you regular !

mixing cornflakes into your porridge is surprisingly good.........

I have weetabix in the mornings for breakfast and this is what i do..crush it all in the sealed container with lid, and just get handful out or just a bit in bowl...this is the end result

You will always get some settlement. People are not careful how they transport things.

Never had this problem. Perhaps a tablespoonful of dust/broken debris at the bottom of the packet.... which is bound to happen if you tip up a box of brittle contents and shake it at least once a day for a fortnight.
