Ronnie's been off-screen for several weeks now.

Getting a bit tired of characters randomly disappearing.

If her own father couldn't be arsed staying for it and did not go to the burial at all why should Dot or Ronnie bother??

Yes to all of that. Plus: Denise, Patrick and Libby arriving at the church, then turning back, missing the whole service was disrespectful; Aunt Gina dropping Cindy off off screen and not attending the service was odd; Ian skipping the committal was bad... Poor Peter only had Lola and Lauren to support him, but no family. OK, there was Cindy, but they're not that close and she wasn't sitting near him. It was disappointing.

Are people missing the fact that he had a breakdown again, and that he is a character who has a history of mental health issues?

He has not had a breakdown; he is grieving. He could not go though with the eulogy - I completely understand this. However, it was what he did next that turned my stomach: he basically tried to get back with Jane instead of going back inside to his daughter's funeral service and then he backed out of going to her burial completely, leaving his grieving son to do it all by himself.

Sorry, no matter how hard it is for him he should have been there for 2 reasons:

1. To show respect to Lucy and

2. To support Peter and Bobby.

He is a self-absorbed weasel.

Wasn't Gina spotted in the press pics of the funeral filming?
