When Grange Hill, Brookside and Hollyoaks were all filming in Liverpool did they ever share sets?

I know that Brookeside used to have a bar in the Hollyoaks SU/now Hospital

And Hollyoaks use the Grange Hill set (outside and inside) and the area by The Hutch with the white steps

So was only because the programmes finished?

I don't think they ever crossed over, it was all used in Hollyoaks after the other two finished

The only one that I can think of that was used by Brookside and Hollyoaks at the same time was the swimming pool in Brookside's Millennium Club and Hollyoaks' Body Boost. They got away with using the same pool for both by decorating 2 sides for Brookside and the other 2 for Hollyoaks.

It was, I believe, used in Hollyoaks first and then Brookside. It didn't really last for very long in Brookie.

There was an episode of Brookside in 2002 in which Emily talked about going for a night out at "The Loft nightclub in Chester' which is the nightclub in Hollyoaks. They were later shown at the club. I assume it was the same set that was used.

So was Hollyoaks a really small set then before it took on GH and Brookie?

I think Max Cunningham lived on Brookside Close for a while whilst Brookside was filming. It was the house next door to where the Corkhill's once lived, a house that was never used in Brookside. From what I can remember a young Tom let off fireworks in one of the upstairs bedrooms whilst Max, Mandy, Finn etc were having a bbq outside.

The Burtons and another family moved into the Dixon and Farnham houses at the end of the close but this was after Brookside had finished. I think these houses were used for Grange Hill too
