HO: Who is more evil, Finn or Patrick?
Both of these have obviously been evil characters in the show recently, but which one do you think is 'more evil'?
Finn- Raped John Paul. Has shown no guilt since, and has taunted him over it. Also got him sent to prison for longer after writing a false statement. Is also very homophobic. Patrick- Has been beating his partner, even when she's been pregnant. Took Sienna's daughter away from her when she was young, and told her that she had died. Is now trying to stop Sienna from finding her. I think most people will automatically think of Finn when they think of a nasty, evil character on Hollyoaks, mainly because the way he has been portrayed recently (like a pantomime villain), but Patrick gives him a run for his money. I am not asking you for your favourite character of the two here, or the best character. I am asking for the most nasty/evil. |

Gosh! Ridiculously hard to pick, both performed despicable acts with zero remorse.
Hollyoaks tends to do the majority of villains well and these are two examples of them! Hell of a cop out of an answer there! |

I wish it was multiple choice but I went with Finn. But both are pure evil imo.

I'm sure there will be some back story as to why Patrick is why he is. Wouldn't surprise me if he was abused himself when he was young. Finn however just seems like he out of one of those evil child movies...

Both despicable human beings, but Finn edges it. Everything he does makes me feel sick.

they are both evil but I'd say Patrick edges it, people will probably say Finn because of how he has been portrayed since the rape, but Finn seems like a teenager who is angry at the world, whereas as I don't really understand why Patrick is the way he is, but like some said maybe their maybe some backstory for why Patrick is the way he is

I'd say Finn. They're both sick but I wouldn't call Patrick evil the way I think Finn is.

Very good question I probably think it is Patrick for wrecking Annas life and making her go mental then for what he did to Sienna and then for seriously abusing Maxine. Finn has raped JP which is obviously awful and has wrecked JP life but Patrick has wrecked three.

Just another point to add to anyone's decision making process. If it's the fact that Finn is a rapist which edges out Patrick in anyone's opinion, bear in mind that Patrick is also a rapist as shown by the abuse adverts that he and Maxine have starred in.
I'm finding it extremely difficult to choose as both have been portrayed as despicably evil. I think I'm going to go with Patrick as his campaign of torture has been never relenting on Maxine. At least John Paul has had a break from the abuse at points and a safe home to go to, she hasn't had that at all. |

Finn raped JP and terrorised him, but rape within abusive relationships happens more often, so sorry Finn but you've lost out to Patrick and the law of probability: Patrick's probably raped Maxine, and he's probably raped a few of the women he's been in relationships with over the years, because I doubt he's only been with Maxine and Anna in his lifetime. Finn's only a baby compared to him.

Patrick because as an adult he should know better. He has probably been malevolent all his life.
Finn is vile but he is still young and could change if he learns what he did was wrong. And whilst there are no excuses for what Finn did I think it was the contrived circumstances that led to it. My guess is that he is keeping up his evilness only so that Robbie and JP don't dob him in. Whereas Patrick continues to be evil as it is how he achieves any goal he desires. |

On the actual show, there has been no scene where Patrick has raped Maxine (like with Finn raping JP). And I don't think Maxine has mentioned anything about a rape, to Patrick or anyone else. |

Gosh, they are both disgusting and evil. I suppose I will have to say Patrick, but only because he is an adult and, as a viewer, we are still none the wiser as to why he is so vile.
Saying this however, everything Finn does makes me feel sick. He is also pure evil. |

But has Patrick actually raped Maxine? I thought that was just an advert from the characters, which had nothing to do with the show itself?
On the actual show, there has been no scene where Patrick has raped Maxine (like with Finn raping JP). And I don't think Maxine has mentioned anything about a rape, to Patrick or anyone else. I voted Finn because Patrick has shown some moments of kindness to others - for example to Esther. It would be harder picking which one was more pathetic. |

I don't think that's meant to be canon either. Surely they'd have covered it on the actual show if it was since they're determined to make this as horrific as possible for Maxine.
I voted Finn because Patrick has shown some moments of kindness to others - for example to Esther. It would be harder picking which one was more pathetic. Though Patrick is shown to have raped Maxine in the adverts, there has been no hint of I t on the show and anyway Finn is homophobic and wrote those monstrous lies that were read out in court as well as raping JP and feeling no guilt and remorse. That means Finn edges it for me. Patrick was at least outraged that Will drowned Anna in the bath - Finn would probably congratulate Will. Also, Patrick is not homophobic.

Judging from the evidence so far I wouldn't put it past him though.

I think it's hard to say, I mean, I am tempted to say either one, for different reasons.
Finn- What makes him worse is that he has shown NO guilt or remorse at all. At least Patrick has, after beating Maxine, said things about it been a new start for them, and that he will not do anything to her again (though it is awful watching him say this, but then come home and beat her again). This doesn't make what he has done ok (obviously), but at least he has shown SOME sort of guilt and remorse. Finn has shown none. Patrick- What makes Patrick worse is that he has badly effected more than one persons life. Finn has badly effected JP's so far, but Patrick has done this to three people (Sienna, Anna, and Maxine). Also, apart from words, and threatening people, Finn has done just the one 'evil' act so far, which was the rape (it was a horrific act, worse than anything Patrick has done. But it is still just the one thing). But Patrick has done 'evil' things time and time again (beating Maxine several times, not just once. And also what he did to Sienna and Anna in the past). |
