my samsung 40" tv wont turn on
when my tv has been off all night, in the morning when i turn it on with the remote it clicks for ages and the red light comes on but it takes ages for it to go on the screen. i have had it for about 5 years.

Blown capacitor maybe? Phone Samsung?
People in the USA have a number to ring and Samsung fix it free of charge according to websites as on a certain model, there is a settlement due to this error. It is rather a common fault. Costs about £150 to repair and a very much cheaper if you can do it yourself. |

the tv repair man is coming to pick it up and he has quoted from £50 to £55

Same happened to mine, Samsung repair people wanted almost 200 quid just to look at it. I actually took the circuit board out of mine and sent it to a local TV repair shop. Paid about the same, bargain.
