CS Get rid of Simon please

I was never really fond of him nor hated him many months or years ago, but seeing as he is growing up now he seems to be more and more annoying. It's not the child actors fault, more so the producers and script writers turning him into such an unlikeable little brat.

Corrie do so badly with writing children who are over the age of 6.

Having watched Coronation Street last night for the first time in many, many months, I was less than surprised to see Simon acting like a small child. The boy is 11 years only in July.

Yes, yes, I know that some children can be immature for their age, but the production team seem to insist on Alex Bain talking and acting like he's 5 or 6 years old.

The same thing happened with Chesney, who existed in a perpetual state of childhood until he turned 16. What emerged from Chesney's cutesy shell was a grumpy, sullen young man.

Yes, violent, savage death would seem to be the way forward for little Simon. The vicious brat. Maybe he become involved in a love triangle with an older woman and her husband finds out. She could be old enough to be his great, great, great grandmother. The two of them could meet at that hotel where Peter and Tina went. Rob could become suspicious and blurts it out to her husband who just so happens to have started drinking in the Rovers every day after never having been in there before. He confronts Simon who tells him "she loves me, not you". The man threatens Simon with a machete (a very sharp one) and Simon, fearing for his life, runs away down the street, being careful not to tread on any cracks in the pavement. The man catches him and cuts his head off and it is later mounted on the wall in the Rovers as a memorial to the fine lad.

The bloke and his wife get back together and have sex eight times a day for years and she tells him that it is so much better than Simon and that it is nice to have a real man again and not a boy.

Any thoughts ?

Even Leanne is getting fed up of him these days and she used to be his No.1 fan. It's so time for him to either go or get a new head.

I think Simon plays his part well, with the poor script he is given. If they are going to do a cull of child actors, they should start with the girl who just lolls on the settee in the Windass house, looking sullen, and occasionally crawls upstairs. Dev's twins and Amy are quite good in the short time they are on stage.

I Love Simon.
Kids come in all shapes and sizes/different personalities etc
I dont want another model child on a soap. I want a kid to behave as a child would who has been through the trauma Simon has.

He's a cracking little actor and character.

Faye? I like her. She's played by a good actress. It's not her fault she's made to look lazy by the writers.

Isn't Simon supposed to be starting secondary school soon? If so, then surely the writers should be trying to make him act a bit more mature and not like a 5 year old messing about on the street.

Hopefully when Peter leaves he'll take Simon with him. That's if Peter's not going to prison. I really hope he didn't kill Tina. But I suppose he could be framed for the murder. I really dont want this to happen though either.

I,ve never liked Simon he,s always been annoying but I have noticed he is looking older yet they still walk him to school and treat him like a 5 year old. The only Corrie kid I like at the moment is Amy her scenes at the museum were very good.

He needs walking to and from school or he pisses off to Blackpool on excursions

As every single one of you are fully aware I loathe violence of any kind and abhor it in all its ugly forms - but I'll make a single exception for Curly Barlow. A damn good thrashing is in order there, mark my words - Don't say I didn't warn you all when he does something that could have been prevented had he been sufficiently thrashed now.

Can only blame the parents though, with an impotent drunk for a father, a braindead ill tempered other father, a non-existent mother, a harlot prostitute for another mother, and a childhating drunk for a final mother, the kid was screwed from the beginning.

True dat.

I despise Simon. I hate that little runt so much he's such a rude little brat. However, I respect the character and actor for making me feel that way about a person. I'd hate to see him leave as I wouldn't have no one to despise and loathe like that little curly haired thug.

All the Soaps put me off kids, and I don't mean giving birth
If my children behave like some of the kids in soapland do, I may consider doing a Shirley Carter and running away if I'm honest
