Attaching TV to table
Hi,
This may be a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere! I've seen a TV that I really like, but it has a quad stand and it's not immediately obvious how I would attach it to a TV table. My current TV has a hole in the stand that you can put a screw through to attach to a table, but the quad stand doesn't seem to. It's really important to be able to attach it to the table as we have a toddler who would love nothing more than to pull it over and bring it crashing to the floor! Is it possible to do this or am I simply going to have to find a different set to buy? This is the sort of stand I'm on about: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd-...51494-pdt.html Any advice would be appreciated! |

If the legs are big enough, drill holes through them and fit screws - if not, screw small straps over them holding the legs firmly down. Something like a 3cmx1cm metal strap, with holes near each end - place over the leg, fit two screws. Best to use four, but at a push you could use two, diagonally opposite each other.

I found this method of securing a TV whilst looking for something else a couple of weeks ago. I think it would be a much better solution than what you are suggesting: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Peerless-ACS...549989-8948224

![]() Also no where near as secure - however, obviously a MUCH better idea if he had a glass stand (but as he screwed his old set down we know he doesn't). |
