If that list is true, that is awesome for David Neilson to get two awards.

Yes, as well as been finally getting some recognition. I voted for Kieron but David is well deserved winner.

David Neilson deserved 2 awards he was absolutely phenomenal.

Delighted Julie Hes got an award and delighted Helen Worth and Simon Gregson also got accolades. Gail's been on our screens for 40 years(!!) and Steve McDonald is a legend.

Very pleased Emmerdale got an award for the siege! Also very happy the fantastic Maddie Hill got an award for her excellent portrayal of Nancy Carter, she's one of my favourite Carters. EastEnders will pick up loads more next year now the show is on fire again!!!

As fully deserved Hayley's cancer and death episode won awards bringing it to a total of 5 for that SL including the best actor, actress and dramatic performance. I think that should put any talk of the SL not being good to rest.

As for Hollyoaks getting Best Soap...? Why not! Every now and then it's nice to see another soap get it, and they do try very hard and do a lot of good stuff even if it's not for a lot of people.

It makes a mockery of the soap awards if it won. There is no way it deserves to win best soap. The show is full of plot holes and character personality transplants.

Maybe the viewers don't agree with you, I voted for them. Personally I've really enjoyed it this yr so I would be glad if this is true.

Hollyoaks winning best soap is a farce. Glad Emmerdale got some recognition for the flood and Corrie for Hayley's cancer. I thought her death episode was pretty poor though.

That looks like Corrie has won far more awards than Hollyoaks to me? But if it's true that Hollyoaks has won best soap then I think we can discredit any merit of these awards

At least till EastEnders finally sue him for nicking all their storylines.

I don't remember EastEnders having male rape, body disorders and gangsters under Kirkwood.

Yeah, Hollyoaks gets slated here on DS but the wider audience don't seem to agree. It's holding up well compared to 2009-2012, when it was crap with producers being sacked every year and ratings fell to all time lows.

I really hope this is false that is WAY too many awards for the Hayley story, I mean the acting was great but the storyline in general wasn't executed very well, I think carols cancer sl has been handled so much better! Also one good part of a bad year shouldn't mean Corrie should dominate, although I am delighted with the awards for Simon Gregson and Helen Worth, if the list is true

You are right, but that doesn't definitely mean the list of winners wasn't put somewhere and leaked prior to the ceremony. Voting closed ages ago.

I think it is the list.

A list of the winners are usually given to the press before the ceremony begins.
