Judging by the awards at the BSA's I don't think SB will be leaving CS any time soon. But saying that, I have found CS to improve recently compared to a couple of months ago,

I don't think the BSA's decide whether EP's keep their jobs.

If Corrie doesn't improve, EastEnders is the one to watch!

I'm not saying he should be fired, i'm just saying that the people who think he should be fired I guess he won't be leaving.

I already watch EE four times a week,

To be fair it's mainly thanks to the huge talents of David and Julie that they won most if their awards. Like last year with the Tyrone abuse. It shows that they are able to do sls. Even if it's one big one and the rest are.... Well..💩

I shouldn't think he was. Corrie has been great as per usual and has been on form a long time now. He gets my vote bringing Todd back like he did. And the Carla storyline is great, amazing scenes last week. Just going to get better with Tina's murder storyline.

It's all about the ratings tbh. Once the ratings slip, he's out.

The BSAs are just a bit of fun. I doubt ITV takes them into consideration when making decisions like this.

The ratings have begun to slide, here's hoping it won't be long before he's told where to go...

Every producer stays for a stint of two years, he'll be leaving sometime next year.

I think a lot of people on here overestimate the power of Stuart Blackburn (Producer).

It is true that he has day to day running of Corrie.

However I think it is Kieran Roberts (Executive Producer) who directs the overall long term strategy of the programme.

That is how Coronation Street is able to replace producers on a regular basis.

I think Corrie is improving with this murder plot, plus the show has become more eventful and entertaining recently

It's getting better again. I hate the ridiculous Tina and Peter affair but it does put a couple of the programme's strongest actors at the centre of the murder plot. I also can't help but like Tracy and Rob so don't mind their involvement.

The Sophie and Maddie nonsense was a low point but now they have disappeared for a bit it's watchable again.

Kirkwood won't be leaving either. He's much worse than Blackburn imo

Well look, according to some of you folks he's the "worst ever producer" (as was Phil Collinson, Kim Crowther and Steve Frost, all of whom received treatment exactly like this on DS.)

Yet Corrie did very respectably last night, and the quality of the show is as good as always. I don't see what the issue is.

I was about to start a new thread but posting it here will do.

Just watching the soap awards now & the outstanding achievement award has just come on, awarded to Helen Worth up pops producer Stuart Blackburn with the most pathetic comment I have heard in a long while to be honest , he said " it was to support a character called Suzie Birchall, well apart from the die-hard fans who remembers Suzie "
Firstly I thought a large percentage of " fans " were die- hard , secondly Suzie has not been in the programme for 31 years !! so obviously there are many people out there who would never have seen her.
Well ( showing my age now ) when the two of them were on the show it was Suzie that stood out more than Gayle that's for sure & I think its really bad to basically slag off an old character as though they were totally insignificant.

Anyway I'm glad to get that off my chest.
