Well that like an absolute non event didn't it.

Has something happened with the soap awards this year. It feels like minimal effort has gone into it.

The venue being different was nice at first but it also felt smaller and less of an event.

No ITV2 afterpaty program.

It just feels like ITV had done it for the sake of doing it without investing much effort or finance.

I agree. Changes need to be made next year.

Hackney Empire just doesn't work at all. it's too small and the sound at times were horrible. Perhaps they could try Wembley Arena or The Royal Albert Hall.
Have it go out LIVE on the night and have more fans attend (Plenty of Each soap id they can)

The set looked Cheap and we need a new Host. Phil is terrible. He's not funny what so ever and I think someone like Paul O Grady or Graham Norton would be better Hosts.
Ideally move it to the BBC but that won't happen

Bring back 'Best exit' and change the way of voting. 2 Vote's per computer in each section of voting. That way there can be no Multi Votes.

This is exactly what I thought. I also noticed that on the press photo sites like Getty and Wireimage there were only about a quarter of the amount of pictures that they've had in previous years and they were really slow to update. There were only some arrivals pictures and no winners pictures like there usually is.
They also didn't do any promo pictures this year either and there wasn't as much of an effort made on This Morning's Soap Week.

Overall, this year there has been no buzz surrounding the awards. Perhaps ITV are planning to phase them out?

Another thing which frustrates me with the British Soap Awards is that they don't have IP address protection where you can only vote on one email because it's pretty obvious people used multiple emails this year

This year definately felt a bit lower budget and less official than past years.

I agree. Changes need to be made next year.

Hackney Empire just doesn't work at all. it's too small and the sound at times were horrible. Perhaps they could try Elstree.
Have it go out LIVE on the night and have more fans attend (Plenty of EE if they can)

The set looked Cheap and we need a new Host. Phil is terrible. He's not funny what so ever and I think someone like Barbara Windsor or Shane Ritchie would be better Hosts.
Ideally move it to the BBC but that won't happen

Bring back 'Best exit' and change the way of voting. 1 vote per Walford Web Members Only.
I'd agree with all of that Dan.
