Bryan Kirkwood
Is he the first producer to win Best Soap with two different soaps?

And yet manage to ruin both of them whilst winning said awards. I would say so

Since Emmerdale has never won it, I'd say yes. There seem to be a few who have produced both Emmerdale and Corrie. |

Well done Bryan Kirkwood. His time on Eastenders wasn't great (although Lorraine Newman was far worse) but he's done brilliant with Hollyoaks. A much deserved win.

My favourite soap is EastEnders and will always be, don't watch Corrie or Emerdale but I nearly did switch off Eastenders in BK and LN days as it was dreadful, i have tried in the past and more recently to watch Hollyoaks but I just didn't like it at all, I thought it was dreadful and unwatchable but I have to give credit to BK, he must understand his viewers for Hollyoaks, he just did not get EastEnders in my view so well done BK and his team for winning Best Soap 2014. See I am not bitter as it was voted by the viewers and I don't care if his viewers got multiple emails or any other excuse that people are using.

Hee, he should make everyone call him the award winning BK and have a crack at Corrie.

I couldn't help but feel annoyed when seeing him. Having said that, it was nice to see Hollyoaks win some awards. |

I think he is a better fit with Hollyoaks. His time at Eastenders just didn't work out. It was during his time there I switched off and I've only tuned in again in the last few months.

He won it while he was at Eastenders? That's a bit of a joke to be honest.
Can't speak for the work he does at Hollyoaks since I don't watch it but someone seems to die every other week with that show. |

I'm pretty good thanks. Team Hollyoaks
They looked completely shocked that they'd won xI must have missed that, what happened? For every terrible decision Kirkwood made for EastEnders - the sheer power of the Baby Swap, the rawness of Billie's death, the epicness of Peggy's exit, the stunning nature of Pat's exit and the horror of Heather' death somehow made up for it. |
