Now I am a fan of the Eagles watched that doc that was on BBC 4 the other night. The History of the Eagles Part 1 great documentary, part 2 is on next week. Though Part 1 covered the greatest years. I have to say that Glenn Frey and Don Henley do come across as quite egotisitcal and deffiantly the ones in charge.
Was suprised to see Don Felder interviewed as I was expecting him to be cut out of the story due to him taking legal action against the band. Though he deffinatly had a point re that action.
It was sad to see Randy Meisner poor guy has had some health problems and it has aged him quite badly. I notice the film did not mention why Randy refused to sing Take It To The Limit, the night he was basically fired by Glenn. He was supposed to be suffereing from Flu and Ulcers at the time, so found it difficult to do the song justice.
Also I didnt know that the end of the band in 1980 was actually recorded, with Don Felder and Glenn Frey trading insults at the mic. "Only 3 more songs til I Kick you ass Pal" "I can't wait"
