Well they obviously cant beat him on their own so why not team up. They did ruin it on Matts first series by just putting him in a box and then you never see them again.

Yes, but that wasn't the plot. The plot was that the Doctor was put in a prison box by mistake, and as a result the universe was destroyed. It was just a nice cameo from the rogue's gallery.

Nice cameo.

I really liked the Logopolis regeneration with it's glorious music that echoed the theme of rebirth. It's probably my favourite regeneration.

The Matt Smith / Capaldi regen wasn't great. I get the idea, it's a "reset" so it was faster but to have The Doctor revert back to his younger self just for the regeneration didn't sit well for me.

Personally I'd really like the Doctor to fight the regeneration in a "not like Stolen Earth way" Actually have the Doctor attempt to resist the regeneration and in the moment of anger he'd regenerate. At least we wouldn't have 20 minutes of "era-wallowing" as the Doctor laments fondly over his current incarnation.

I was so sure he'd be a hologram. Like how the TARDIS projected clothes onto him, it'd turn out he had indeed regenerated on the clock tower, and the TARDIS was projecting the Eleventh Doctor onto the Twelfth Doctor.

That would have worked, but for the post-regenerative trauma thing - he can't go from being sentimental and saying goodbye to suddenly ranting about kidneys.

I imagine dying and being given a new body would be quite traumatic. Will probably still be recovering in the first episode. However once he and Clara get sorted out they will be fine. Off to explore time and space.

The problem with current era regeneration its too over the top. Its cool to see but all this arms apart Im giving a big speech because im leaving the show, look at me Im god is a little OTT!

Ever heard the expression famous last words ?. Doctor doesn't get a tomb stone and a epitaph. He just has a chance to say something memorable to his companion(s) and fans!.

I dont mind last few words but spouting a big speech to the audience because the actors leaving is wrong.
