Steph from Corrie
Really think Steph has great potential, I can see her becoming a really popular character. She started off as ditzy but have enjoyed her scenes with Tina where she's trying to offer her sound advice.

I agree, she is really good. I think she'll become a big character. Both Steph and Sinead have a lot of potential.

Yes please, more Steph. A good actress and a likeable character. I do not get why she has not been used more, in preference to the terrible trio; Sophie, Fiz and Michelle. I would rather watch Steph hog the screen than any of those, but sadly she does not seem to be in the power group at the moment.

I was thinking exactly the same as I was watching last night. I'm really starting to like her. I hope the writers find something interesting for her to do. I wish her and Tina's friendship had had a bit longer to blossom, so that the impact of her death would be much greater. Not that she'll take it lightly I'm sure, so hopefully some chances for the actress to show a bit of range over the next week or two.

There was some genuine tender moments between Steph and Tina last night. I hope she stays around and has her character developed.

She's definitely grown on me although I wish they'd give her more to do than serve the tables at the Bistro, or occasionally talking to Tina. Think it will be interesting to see how she reacts to Tina's death - although I hope they don't overdo her grief as they didn't know each other for very long.

I have to agree that Steph is a good addition to the cast
. I think her gradual introduction has helped as well, but now with Tina gone (almost), they need to develop a friendship with another young woman on the street and more interaction with other characters outside of the Bistro. The only other female I can see her becoming friendly with is Eva and maybe Kylie, but as they aren't single, it might be limiting. It's funny that she entered as a pal of Katie's if I recall correctly but I can't even remember the last time they shared a scene together . If they split Eva and Jason up, I think Steph and her could make a good light hearted pair of mates.

I really like Steph. Now let's all enjoy it before they inevitably ruin her character.

Tisha Merry is a better actress than the girl who plays Kateh.

Yes, I like her too. I also think she's the best-looking female cast member. Can't understand why she wasn't nominated inn the BSA's Sexiest Female category.

Can't believe how much I like Steph now! I remember when she first came in it as a friend of the awful Katie, and I thought at the time that she'd be uninteresting etc, a bit like Katie I suppose, but the friendship with Tina has been spot on, and I think if Tina wasn't leaving, the two of them would have been really good together.
Although I'm not sure about her brother...... |

I was going to say the exact same thing. Great minds and all that
![]() ![]() Tbh, I'm convinced Steph was only brought in originally to provide a previously non-existent 'mate' for Tina, in whom she could confide during the Peterina sl. It will be interesting to see what they do with Steph now that's over. (Having seen what they did (didn't do) with Jenna once she'd served her brief purpose as Sawphie's g/f, I'm not filled with confidence).

Was thinking the same as some of the FM's have pointed out, last night whilst watching Steph with Tina.
Although Steph obviously may not step straight into Tina's shoes in filling the void left by her as a replacement - but she is still a very similar type of character. Much more likeable than Kateh (who's going anyway), Michelle or Maddeh (who many people seemed to predict as the Tina replacement). It's more that Steph is an interesting and much more likeable character and it will be interesting to see where TPTB go with her, as well as her brother being there, with her - rather than as a direct replacement for Tina. |
