Yes I like Steph, nice fun girl Sinead is also a good addition I like her quirky personality.

I really like Steph at first I thought she was a bit annoying and pretty pointless but her friendship with Tina and placing her in The Bistro really works!

Steph seems to understand people well in the Bistro. She always seems to empathise with customers there. She reminds me of Stella in this way, which is remarkable as Steph is so much younger.

I like Steph, nice to have young person in corrie who acts young, most of the others are old before their time

Wasn't keen on her when she was just Katy's friend, but the character has really grown on me recently and I like her fun, laid back side, acting her age instead of others her age being mums and having affairs with older men. Hope she sticks around and is still involved now Tina's gone.

I love Steph she is such a fun, bubbly character. It's funny that she was brought in as Katy's friend yet has virtually no scenes with her and now Katy's been axed whilst there was reports that Tisha Merry has had her contract extended! I hope they start giving her storylines that focus on her, rather than her being the support character.

She's my favourite character at the moment....find her very believable and likeable, a tough combo to pull off.
I wonder are we being set up for a Steph/Nick romance too? It kind if seemed that way with their bistro scenes tonight. I'd like to see her get meatier storylines and be properly integrated into the street with dating a main character like Nick.

Liked her in the most recent episode. She was charming and I liked her interactions with Angry Nick.

I logged on to DS tonight to say the same thing - she was the best part of Corrie tonight.

I know she is still a bit ditzy, but I've noticed they've started playing that down now and she's turned into a normal, sensible, level-headed, down-to-earth, likeable young woman. Long may it last - it's nice to have a character without an agenda or a load of baggage. Her brother too - I've really warmed to him.

She really bounces of Luke; definitely great casting there.

I like how she takes no nonsense from Nick; I think Steph is the only character who can keep him in check right now.

I wondered that too! Agree she's a great character, a relief from all the pouting babes that Corrie thinks every woman under 30 should be. Also agree with a previous poster that she's much more likeable now than she was as Katie's man-hungry friend.

I just hope they don't make her too wise beyond her years. There aren't many twentysomethings who'd be so mature and patient with their nasty warring bosses. Like most of us they'd be stressed out and looking for another job!

I liked how she seemed to clam Nick down eventually and he was fine until he saw Les Dennis snogging his mum and then he erupted again.

Must admit she and Luke have grown on me.
Liked her necklace last night

I like them both. Unfortunately, I think Corrie has already started Sinead's descent into duller than ditchwater to suit Chesney's character as shown in the incident with the dress and the Bistro scene.

I really hope Nick and Steph don't get together. I can see it would be great for Nick, but not for Steph. He is too old and has too much recent baggage (sorry Leanne ) to deal with. Also he looks so haggard and skinny I can't believe she'd fancy him, though she might feel sorry for him and develop feelings for him, as she seems pretty kind-hearted. It would be just like Nick at the moment to want to flaunt a new girlfriend in front of Leanne, and it would be a shame if Steph was used in this way.

I agree it would be unrealistic. He is far too old for her, and looks even older than he is (meant to be). And he is a man with serious problems, which a young girl would not be prepared to take on. Also, she is gorgeous and could have her pick of the men. Why would she choose Nick?

Because maybe he will break down in tears and she will comfort him and she will start to feel compassion towards him which moves on to her falling for him and besides it's no worse than the other unrealistic storylines in Corrie at the minute

Please, no! It would be such a refreshing change to have a likeable character who isn't involved in some sort of miserable 'love' relationship.

Agree 100% with this.

Hope she develops as a character and is given a real love interest that works. (Yes, I know Corrie don't do workable love lines but it would be good to see Steph given one)

The actress who portrays Steph seems very good and the character is blossoming well. I can see her becoming a central character in a few years. She remind me a bit of Tina but without the whining or bad qualities that swallowed up the character.

Not that she'll take it lightly I'm sure, so hopefully some chances for the actress to show a bit of range over the next week or two.”

Think we all in agreement here that Steph's character developing well.
let's hope they allow this to continue and not sideline her.
