Fears mount on Carol and David's wedding day
Carol and David's wedding day has arrived, but Bianca is still wary over her father's intentions. It appears she may be right to be worried when David's quest for 'something blue' takes him away from Walford.
Carol asks a reluctant Liam if he will walk her into the register office, but as time passes by, there is no sign of David. As Bianca and Liam fear that David has done a runner again, are they right?
Meanwhile, Stan returns home from court with a fine and a curfew. He immediately makes Dean an attractive offer - money to set up his own business on the Square. Dean isn't sure, but when he realises that Stan is calling in his debt from Mick, he reconsiders.
Elsewhere, Mick and Shirley discuss recent revelations and agree to move on.
Also today, Sharon is worried about Ian and finds him isolated at the Beale house. She tries to offer her friend some advice, but it's clear that he is still struggling.
Finally, Lola is disgusted when she discovers that Billy has been stealing stock from Beale's Plaice. A guilty Billy agrees to get rid of it, passing the food off to the Butchers as a wedding gift.

Bianca discovers David's deception
Bianca confronts David and reveals what Liam has told her. David says that Nikki came onto him a few weeks ago, but he rebuffed her advances. Soon afterwards, Bianca and Nikki have a heated argument, which leads to Bianca shoving the blonde into a pile of rubbish.
When Terry then manages to get the truth out of Nikki, Bianca realises that David has taken her for a fool by not telling her the whole story. Hearing that something happened between Nikki and David a few months ago too, Bianca confronts her father and orders him not to go through with the wedding if he has any doubts…
Meanwhile, Dean arrives to support Stan ahead of his court appearance tomorrow, but Johnny and Nancy are suspicious over Dean. When Nancy confronts Dean, he is forced to admit that Stan is taking the rap for him. However, Dean has suspicions of his own about what Stan is hiding under the scarf he is wearing. Later, Stan tells Mick he needs the money he lent him for The Vic back
Elsewhere, Tamwar realises that he recognises the handwriting on the abusive card that was left at Lucy's funeral. Now aware of who wrote it, Tamwar confronts the culprit…
Also today, Ian tries to take the first steps in moving on from Lucy's death by attempting to pack her things away

Lofty Holloway falls in love with Michelle, proposing marriage and offering to raise her unborn child as his own. Although she initially refuses, she eventually accepts. That May, she gives birth to a daughter she names Vicki but as the wedding day nears, Michelle has second thoughts. Unable to get over Den, she realizes that she doesn't love Lofty. Den visits her moments before she's due to leave for the church and their chat makes her jilt Lofty at the altar. Later that year, she changes her mind again and Lofty whisks her away for a secret wedding outside Walford but it does not go smoothly. Michelle grows tired of Lofty, who pressures her to let him to adopt Vicki legally and have another baby. Michelle doesn't like either idea, but after an ill-fated attempt to elope with Den, she settles for an unhappy life with Lofty and ends 1987 pregnant with Lofty's baby. Lofty is overjoyed and against Michelle's wishes, tells everyone about Michelle's pregnancy. Michelle retaliates by quietly having a private abortion funded by Den, who doesn't want Lofty to adopt Vicki. A devastated Lofty physically attacks Michelle in front of her family. The marriage dissolves and Lofty leaves Walford

Eventually after a huge mud fight! Phill tells Ian about Janes affair with Grant, prompting Ian to propose to Jane, quietly planning to humiliate her at the wedding. Jane learns this on their wedding day and disappears. Ian finds her and they have a fight but realise they love each other and want to be together. They marry in secret.

No! Sharon accepts Jack's proposal but, realising he is still in love with his former wife Ronnie Mitchell, Jack cancels the wedding. Sharon struggles to cope with this rejection and resumes her dependency on painkillers.

Phil persuades her to go to the registry office with him, but in the middle of her vows, Shirley changes her mind again. She tells Phil that she wants to be with him but cannot marry him and will leave for good if he has another affair. There relationship came to an end when Phils son Ben killed Shirley's long time best friend Heather Trott.
