I think a lot of us 'get it'. We all know about stand up comics and their routines, especially those of us old enough to remember the 70s comics. I don't have a problem with coarseness, insults as part as a satnd up act. But, davro was not employed on EE as a stand up, he was employed as an actor and therefore should treat that period of his career with the professionalism expected of that industry (acting) not his other (stand up). I'm sure plenty of actors bitch in private but it is actually quite rare to have one publicly slag off another, especially about their looks.

I don't think it is nice for social media to comment adversely on actors (or anyones) looks but I do think it is worse for a colleague who knows them professionally and probably personally to some extent to do it.

Maybe the morality if skewered but I think it is ver different me going on record to say I think a celebrity looks a mess than it would me to post a comment on say Facebook about a friend or colleague.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's p'd off that comedians/presenters from around the same time - Bradley Walsh/Brian Conley etc are still going (and becoming just as popular all over again) whereas he had a part in a popular BBC soap and STILL nothing came of it.

As for Last Request, he/she may have called Linda and other soap stars some horrible things related to their looks. I don't agree with that, but at least he/she won't start moaning when somebody else does the same.

I can't pretend to have checked every post every user has made but I do know from the general tone of their posts that Lotty27 and Collins1965 that have expressed their distaste At Davro's comments are not in the habit of commenting negatively on actors looks and are not being hypocritical. IndEed they are 2 of the most 'adult' posters on thi site and it is rather offensive to tar them with the 'hypocrites, you've said worse' brush.
