It's totally unproffessional and I'm sure you would agree if the same was said about one of the Corrie cast.
This isn't a standup comedian poking fun of his friends. He's an actor who insulted his co-worker.
Is it the end of the world? No but I do think if you're going to make comments like this, then expect a backlash.

Neither have I. Personally, I see nothing wrong with her looks and would never dream of insulting her, I have much respect for her as an actress.

Stop being so melodramatic. It wasn't unprofessional he hasn't worked for Eastrenders since 2008 nearly 6 years ago. Its mountain out of a molehill he's not going to bump into Linda on the street.
