It is well documented how to connect a satellite box to a Slingbox so you can access your live tv anywhere in world.

I use my NOW TV box a lot for TV catchup, and I wondered if the NOW TV box could feed the slingbox as the NOW TV has composite video/audio output.

Connecting them was no problem (if you have the right cable), but of course, you need a virtual remote. I hunted around the slingbox settings and found a roku remote (you have to select miscellaneous device and then Roku, and it choses the remote for you)

This remote looks just like the NOW TV remote except black, and when I tried it, it worked fine.

So now I can now access my NOW TV box anywhere in the world, where I have internet access.

To save you the hassle could you not use www.overplay.net smartDNS when your abroad and used the NOW TV app on your device?

Actually setting it up was really easy. No messing with router settings, VPNs etc, and of
course no monthly 3rd party costs (admittedly very low).
