Could a soap character crossover onto another soap?
I don't mean special charity episodes or sketches, I mean a soap character on their own series going into another show. For example, Peter Barlow leaves Coronation Street, but the exact same character (and the same actor) turns up on Emmerdale. It would be interesting, soap actors are known to jump between soaps so it would be good if they were the same character.

Danny Dyer's next series of 'Britain's Most Dangerous Men' is devoted entirely to Phelan.

Pretty sure a character in brook side ended up in hollyoaks years ago. I am sure someone will confirm that

Well i think it would be very interesting. Just imagine Dot Cotton sharing a sherry with Emily Bishop in the rovers or Tyrone being Phil's new partner at the garage on EE

'James' was a big prick in Corrie, and he's now a big prick in Emmerdale.

I don't know about UK soaps, but US soaps do all the time, sometimes for brief stints, sometimes for longer stays.

I would have loved to have seen some of the scallys from Brookie in Corrie... Barry Grant would have made a good mate for Terry Duckworth... |

I can see CS Sally dragging Tim away on a romantic weekend and ending up in the B&B in ED.

I think the most realistic crossover would be Corrie & Emmerdale, or at a push EastEnders and Doctors.
Maybe Christian & Syed could bring Yasmin in for a checkup? |

I'd love Phelan to show carol jackson the same pleasure he showed Anna. He should rip that wedding dress off her and take her on the car bonnet

I think David Wicks should have gone to Coronation Street as the factory boss and become the latest in a long line of tall, dark, handsome men who run the factory, get tangled up with Carla and wind up being killed.

It's a bit surprising that Corrie and Emmerdale haven't had any characters cross over in some way over the years. A little cameo or a guest stint here or there would be fun.

I'd live to see Lenny Murdoch from River City turn up in Albert Square. He would be legendary.

Although Emmerdale and Coronation Street both appear on ITV, I believe they are under different production companies, (Granada, Talkback Thames, Carlton etc), so for copyright laws, it may be impossible to do.
Eastenders and Doctors could do a crossover |

Tanya Turner went from Footballers Wives to Bad Girls and it was amazing. It would have to be the same channel so it could only happen on Corrie and Emmerdale and I have always wondered why they have never done it!
The producer of Home and Away has said she would love for Louise Appleton to get a. Job in Angelo's but I'm not quite sure how that would work!!! |

Charlie Stubbs in Corrie didn't actually die. He went into Witness Protection then came out with a change of name - James Barton. He then moved to Emmerdale.
