I really enjoyed that Peter and Rob both coolly clued Tina in. She was thinking it was some doomed classical romance until Peter was all but "Thanks for the shag, don't tell my wife, okthx" then Rob was mocking her "running away from home, do you know how pathetic that looked?" And "you were knocking off someone else's husband". Two older guys saying "affairs work like this mate, they don't leave their wives for their tart" and magnifying what an OTT, emotional idiot she'd been throughout.

I still don't think she comprehended it, even during her clumsy dismount.

So we're all in agreement, Peter is no longer unable to perform in the bedroom?

Indeed I was. One of the funniest episodes of Corrie I've seen. Great mix of comedy and serious stuff.

The lucky winner announcement sounded like the final of any awful Simon Cowell talent show

I was half expecting 'you raise me up' to start playing and Ant and Dec to burst in and congratulate Carla.

Tina's fall reminded me of big bird.

I agree. It is what I have been saying all along about this - that Tina really doesn't get what an affair is, what the 'rules' are and she has broken every single one (it's my turn will stay with me for many years to come) without a prayer of it ever working out in her favour and to have (as you say) 2 experienced, older men lay it out quite plainly to her as well as. Rita yesterday and Steve in less brutal terms a few weeks ago really has cheered me up. I also loved Rob pointing out that (righly or wrongly) she'd always get attention because she's beautiful and sexy and people want to **** her but she's not a longterm prospect for any sensible man because she is a gobby cow who flies off the handle at the slightest thing - and I would add can't keep their bib out of other people's business.

And yes, she still didn't get it, even at the end.

I'd feel sorry for her for being naive except that it was her that did most of the running, not Peter (she was threatening and damned near stalking him after only one kiss and remember that she went to his flat on the morning of his wedding before anything had happened) and she didn't care about Carla, the babys or more importantly Simon's welfare in wanting to hurt Peter in revenge for being dunmped.

Just wonderful to see Peterina in all his true colours tonight.

'It weren't me Carla, believe me, it was all her! It was that Tina, she made me do it! She wouldn't leave me alone, she was always jumping on top of me. She's a bully! She told me that if I didn't have sex with her that she'd tell Steve about the little problem with my trouser department. And it was him too! He wanted me to do it with Tina because he was jealous and he though his mum liked her better. And Simon as well, he wanted Tina to hang around the flat. You have to believe me' Look at my eyes, you know I'd never do it on purpose. I love mys......you!' Kiss me better''

What a man lol. Sir Galahad would blush to stand in the same room as him, he's just too high and mighty.
No wonder the women are fighting like tazmanian devils over the bloke. rolleyes!!!!

I often disagree with you re Leanne but I did have to laugh at this somewhat accurate summary of the situation.

That said, Tina did chase him and Simon was always insisting that he wanted Tina and Tina alone.....

I'd be quite up for blaming the whole thing on Simon, if everyone else is in agreement?

I think that it's appropriate that Peter goes, had enough

Yeah, it was quite amusing.

I do feel some modicum of sympathy for Tina because I think the basic justification for the plot was that she was basically just a silly, immature girl playing a dangerous game with some pretty unsavory adults - And whilst never explicitly said I've always assumed Peter was a kind of "father-figure" for her - Even down to him being a hopeless drunk while her father was a hopeless junkie, etc...

But that said she has always been a VERY irritating and annoying character so it's a relief she's gone and we won't have to listen to that horrible, shrieking harpee voice anymore, not to mention her constantly sticking her nose into everybody else's business.

Yes, it was classic and reminded ME of an ex of mine who, three years on, can still be heard to say "I still don't know what I did wrong!".

Peter falling apart seemed to spur her on too, as though she could be the one to "save" him drawing parallels with her dad. Even though he told her that she was adding to his stress with her demands. Her entire personality became so selfish, which had never previously been the case, wanting him to destroy lives by running away with her. It was completely insane.

She had no reason to want to hurt Carla, or Simon who clearly adored her, but she never even factored them in, even peter and his health didn't matter she just wanted to 'win'. It was all so self-centered that you couldn't empathise with her character at all.

How many times did Peter try to get rid of her? Their accidental ginnel pow-wows and boring meetings in hotels to talk over the same thing outnumbered their sexual encounters by about 10-1. He seemingly only carried it on in fear of her telling Carla, but in her mind it was romantic. It took until tonight before someone put her right, and it was cathartic.

She was so mouthy and emotionally fragile, that even when faced with the possibility of her death she STILL carried on like a self-righteous gobby kid. By the end she'd completely lost it and looked every bit the delusional and damaged child that she was. Rob and Peter's reactions tonight were so spot on, it shone a light onto who Tina had become, and just how egotistical and vindictive she was (when before she was morally right, most of the time)

Really well said and couldn't agree more.

I again have been saying for months that for all she thinks she gets it because of Joe's problem with painkillers, she understands nothing about addiction, and alcoholism in particular and has just made it worse at every turn. Every time she tried to help him she actually made it worse and wouln't listen when anybody (including Peter) told her to back off. But that's Tina - she always knows best and has over the last 2 years become a very selfish person. Her wanting to keep Jake was selfish - she tried to justify it but what it boiled down to was that she loved him, she wanted him, she was going to have him and averybody else with a claim would just have to get over it and if they didn't that was their problem and they were getting at her by not imMediately giving in. Peter is now Jake. She wants him, loves him, wants her happy ending so everybody else (Carla, Simon) just needs to deal with it and when she is told no she spends months ignoring it and then wants to kick out as revenge.

Does anyone remember that son/ of about 15 years ago "it wasn't me" about being caught shagging the next door neighbour on the bathroom floor? Think it was Shaggy.

That's Peter.

As soon as Peter said "Are we cool?" that Pulp Fiction scene in the diner sprung into my head.

Say bitch be cool! Tell that ****ing bitch to chill!

Totally in agreement by the way - Peter rocks "the showing of his true colours" lol.

That mental image of his face superimposed on the guy's body in the video has made my night

If this entire travesty of a storyline has given us anything, it's cringey one liners. I'm not sure which was worse, "something beautiful" or "are we cool?"
