They should've at least had some scenes beforehand of Tina and Stef actually using the balcony!”

I suppose that's why Rob made the croissants commment, I assume he was being sarcastic

Stupid gobby cow, never did know when to keep her trap shut. As said, should have said what he wanted to hear to get rid of him and bided her time.

The writers only thought about it at the last minute.

One for the one-liners thread - the balcony where Tina and Steph have their croissants and coffee of a morning.

Hardly - not a great view - with scaffolding etc etc all around.

Not unbelievable at all given that it's the builder's yard balcony and has been there all the time. So not so lazy or shody (sic), then.

So that's why everyone thought How does Tina end up on the Builder's yard? Because we all forgot about that door

Sadly, some of us think differently Irma.

For me it's just more of Corrie's current approach to its stories: implausible characters put into implausible situations. It would have been more believable for Tina to have been 'pushed' down the stairs.

If anything, Rob's 'coffee and croissants' comment revealed a level of discomfort on behalf of Simon Crowther, the writer. The inclusion of this line suggests to me that the production team were conscious about the unconvincing appearance of the doorway to the balcony and had to attempt to justify it in some way.

I wasn't aware there was a balcony to Tina's flat, but then I wasn't aware of Walford Common in E.E. either.

The whole builders yard is bloody weird anyway. Why is there a balcony upstairs? It all looks rickety, half finished and falling down... Bizzare set.

Is this the same builders yard which used to belong to Len and Rita Fairclough? and did they live in the flat above it?

So a typical builder's yard then, really?

So had she until yesterday - all that time she wasted going down the stairs and back up the ones next door whilst she was pregnant, she could've just been using that door to go to and from work at the yard.

Exactly - he was being sarcastic. Nobody would sit out there to enjoy themselves. It probably isn't even legally part of the flat but the builders yard.

True, walford common appeared from nowhere. At least this balcony was featured years ago.

To be fair on Corrie, it's not like the door magically appeared for the storyline, it's always been there, just never used.

No, it's evidence of Corrie "rewriting" history and "changing" characters, don't you know? Never mind that balcony has been there donkey's years and the door was established in Charlie Stubbs' time. Some DS posters don't let simple facts get in the way of an anti-SB moan.

Balconys, flats, they all confuse me as to where anyone is these days! Look at Eileen's Tardis - she must be well-confused!!

A magic door to a magic balcony with magical railings that disappear then reappear

The way she teetered before falling she could have just put her hand onto the railing
