Such a mixed bag of opinions on tonight's episode going by the poll although a few more votes on the top half it seems!

I think Tina is the only person who is able to be pushed from a building and get up with no cuts or bruises afterwards.

There were never 4 different endings filmed.

That was just misdirection, and a Red Herring to raise the speculation, and hype the programme this week.

And of course, the ultimate aim.... to increase the ratings.

And sell advertising time.

All it was missing was a Carl King " IM INVINCIBLE ".

Tina died as she lived.... shouting her mouth off.

It actually reminded me of Scary Movie with the cheerleader who doesn't stop antagonising the murderer and no matter what he does to her she doesn't shut up shouting at him until eventually he cuts her head off, she still doesn't shut up and he leaves the head in the bin and you can hear the echo of her voice still going on.

I remember on the Tram Crash polls some people voted 1s and 2s for those episodes.

Big episodes = more types of viewer watching ... tonight will have been watched/endured by non-Corrie fans who didn't rate it (probably not cos it wasn't very good, but because it wasn't the soap they prefer)

There was blood on the road from where she banged her head.

But Jason fell from that same balcony a few years ago and got away with just a few bruises, it's really not that high up. It depends how you land.

Also reminded me of Mad Maya careering down the Street at Dev/Sunita in her car, them diving out the way, and her crashing smash into the viaduct. Dead? No no no, up came her bloodied head and evil eyes, and out she reversed wheel-scraping a-plenty, revving the engine like a nut job...

... only for a truck to smash into the car at speed smashing it (and her) into next week.

You are The Barlow Creature and I claim my £10

Whilst not condoning Peter's actions..... was Carla not paralytic on her wedding night?
No excuse I agree

Peter is the most pathetic man of all time
Might not be but he is a contender

Tina doesn't know when to stop with the threats. Being pushed off a building isn't a big enough clue.
Post of the thread

Tina really is horrible
Well I liked her

Ches you useless sack of shit!
Succinct and accurate

Poor Tina, I'm going to miss her. Evil, Evil Rob!!
Me too

Tina's sex noises were because the cobbles have the effect of making the street ribbed, for her pleasure.
Best explanation for some time.

Who Writes This Shit!?
Check the credits

I'm assuming that this all ends with Tracey having a rare pang of conscience and grassing Rob up.
Only if he upsets her

I shall miss you, Michelle Keegan. Stuart Blackburn, you broke your promise to her.
Blackburn didn't kill her. That Rob did.

Love both these posts.

Also, John Stape did survive that fall he had too [and ran away pretty quickly].

Tina/Michelle - nice girl - but couldn't act. Glad she's gone, never understood all the hype. Enjoyed tonight's episode though.

I do think it's clever how all four of them are in the frame and that for once it didn't seem contrived.

Peter - Norris and Mary are going to give statements about him coming back from Tina's with scratches.

Carla - self-explanatory; found with body right after announcing that she would murder Tina (!).

Rob - well he did actually kill her, for starters. And he has no alibi waiting for him.

Tracy - also has no alibi, and can't tell Rob where she was without admitting she betrayed his trust.

Of course, the irony is that if Peter had only waited a few more minutes, he wouldn't have had to tell Carla about the affair !

I thought Rob was going to think he killed her only for Tony to have killed her. Tina still mouthing off till the very end. I wish we had seen him actually repeatedly hit her, the 9pm slot would have been great for that.

Michelle getting angry at Steve because his best friend Peter cheated *rolls eyes* Rob needs to use that pipe again, this time on Michelle.

So Anna told Owen about her night with Phelan, Owen crying that he could never 'give it to her' like Phelan did.
Pity it wasn't Michelle Connor getting killed off, my house certainly felt like throttling her.

I loved the Anna/Owen stuff - I thought it was very believable and very sad.

Wouldn't have minded the Tina stuff if only she'd had a single scratch or broken bone to show for a backwards fall that would in reality almost certainly have snapped her spine.

And even a gobshite like Tina would've had enough street smarts to stfu and pretend she didn't remember anything until Rob was out of the way.

Love how Peter shouted to Carla, in front of the police, 'What have you done'?
Debbie Rush was fantastic. Agree re Tina, you'd keep schtum until the hospital pretending to Rob you'd forgotten. Tina's a clever girl. She's gobby but she's not stupid. Killer Rob just means we're going to lose another decent character in the not too distant future. Viewers will want justice, Tina was a young, beautiful girl with her whole life ahead of her.

Best episode of the week but could've been better and more believable. Tony could have easily delivered the final blow unbeknownst to Rob. Ah well another missed opportunity.

7/10

It felt like everyone had forgot their lines, and just shouted out random rubbish that made no sense

Rob please clobber Foldy arms next
+1

I so wanted Carla and Tina to have it out with each other
Or make out with each other just to see jellyfish Peter's face.

Yep. I immediately thought of that scene

"Good, different?"
"No-one likes change..."
Exactly! Screaming at the TV "say nothing"!!!

Thanks for the thread
The announcer said a warning of Violence!
I'm intrigued
I wouldn't call Tina being whacked about the head after miracoulously getting up from falling from a great height that violent.

is she stupid.. who the hell would do provoke someone who can kill them...
Yes still being gobby to someone who tried to kill you by pushing you of a balconey for being gobby isn't the most sensible thing in the world is it.

OMG Wtf? Was that the twist, that she didn't break a single bone and got up and started shooting her gob off again?
She was never going to break the habit of a lifetime at the very end now was she?

Corrie lied to us didn't they, were you dissappointed Corrie forced you to hear her voice again.

And it was definitely murder this time heh

So are we meant to believe she fell off a roof onto cobbles and was able to stand?
Too be honest it wasn't that high.

It was a stupid question. If he says no, she was rubbish, Carla will say why did you keep doing it then? If he says yes, she was better, Carla will kill him.

Much better episode , the best Simon Crowther's going to manage anyway.

People are being way too critical of this IMO! Haven't been so open-mouthed at the show since the tram crash?
I agree, it seems to be the in thing to slag it off, but at its worst it is still better than the rest .

OK the tension isnt the same as Tony week or tram week, but it is a good story ad the twist tonight was great, never thought Rob had it in him my hero, lmao.
Agree with the above two posts. Sometimes people are over critical just to join the band wagon. IMO of course.

Surely everyone will say Carla only left the pub minutes before Tina was found, Kal and Leanne will say they didn't hear any confrontation, and her blood will have congealed enough to show she was pushed before Carla arrived.
Violet, you should apply for Weatherfield CSI. !!

I found him clobbering her quite frightening actually and Michelle Keegan was great. The script writing is very bad but the actors are really very good
Spot on Sorcha.

Totally agree with you OnJ. I'm glad it wasn't just a Tina episode. The way tried to touch Owen when they were both on the floor was quite moving.
