Yeh that would have been great, why have the same person 'push' her then go and smash her head in, when they said twist it was kind of obvious she would still be alive after the fall, but I thought someone else would have killed her.

Bit of an odd one this is! Rob 'kills' her twice? We've got the hospital scenes to come next - who kills her then?? PLEEEEASE let it finish then! Or will she come back as a ghost in Carla's fridge!! (Just to get next years Soap Award!)

Quite funny how after months of advertising for Tina's murder, the big twist ends up being... erm, murder?

Final Destination style.

Would have been better.

Yeah I agree, that would have been better.

I would argue it's even more shocking that Rob did both, like a double bluff on the 'twist'.

Like this plot even more. ...we would have gotten the scene between carla and Tina. ...and when we all think she's dead...shes rises from the ....em ground and Rob finishes het off after she moans that Carla just pushed her
..would have been a better episode than what we got yesterday! !!

The ''twist'' was adding the element of intent. Judging by last night's cliffhanger it wasn't technically murder at that point.

Rob was still responsible for Tina's death either way though. Not worth the hype of ITV announcing there was a twist.

I disagree, it was a shock for him to 'go evil' after looking so terrified and shocked at the fall (which was kind of an accident!) and then decide to grab the bar and tell her "you'll die gobby" before whacking her with no remorse!

I wouldn't call that a twist though. Yesterday we Knew Rob was responsible for her death and we still know the same thing. A different murderer would have been a twist.

She aint dead yet. I reckon Carla will switch her off

We were left last night thinking "he was responsible for her death, albeit semi-accidentally" but the twist was... she wasn't yet dead but conscious, and that he finished her off himself - with an iron bar - in a premeditated and violent fashion!

Truth is, Corrie can't do right for doing wrong! If Tina hadn't have got back up the death would have been "pathetic" and an "anti-climax".
If she'd got up and someone else had finished her off they'd be accused of copying Emmerdales storyline of Chas thinking she'd killed Carl.
Now she's got back up and Robs finished her off its "Rob wouldn't do that" blah blah. Maybe Rob just saw that as the only way out, of an attempted murder and dodgy hair dryer charge And also he's very protective over Carla, who Tina was going to go tell about Peter.

I just think it didn't affect the plot enough like a twist usually does. We knew Tina was going to die anyway, the only difference it made is when/if Rob gets arrested he'll be sent down for murder rather than manslaughter.

I agree. He seemed genuinely upset about the fall but when she gobbed off you could see his demeanour change

THIS - thank you for saying what I've been trying to say.

Any outcome would have been disappointing to some.

You could argue this is new, someone throwing someone off a balcony, losing the plot with guilt, then that same person hearing her voice, seeing her haul herself up then him being backed into a corner by a half-dead gobby mare determined to shop him to the police for not only dealing dodgy goods but throwing her off a balcony - resulting in him , quite callously in contrast to his previous 'hard-man-who-still-wets-the-bed' look, killing her violently.

Agreed, it was a heck of a contrast! Half expecting Tina to wake up for Round 3 of "Lets piss off Rob at my most vulnerable". In fact, I hope she wakes up every night in her hospital bed and gets wolloped with a bed pan.

I still think they'll announce they've held a gun to her (the actress's) head, and she's graciously agreed to stay on at three times the salary. So tina will recover in a couple of weeks, and ITV will claim they've fooled everybody.

Alas, I'm off on two weeks' holiday tomorrow, so I won't know what happened until I return.

I'd have loved it if Tina had stepped backwards while mouthing off at Rob only to be accidentally run over by Tracey arriving back in the van.

But we were told all along that she was murdered so after the 'accidental' fall we all knew someone would have to come along and kill her, they wouldn't do it at the hospital (as it was already done recently) and with the announcement of a twist at the BEGINNING of Wednesdays episode it was obvious that she would be clobbered round the head then. The only surprising thing was that Corrie didn't try and surprise us by making it someone else rather than the obvious choice of Rob. Therefore I guess the TWIST was that there WAS'T a TWIST

I was amazed that anyone could fall that far onto cobbles and not even hurt themselves. She sat up and didn't even scream in pain. Surely she'd have broken a bone somewhere.
