Do they not have script editors or anyone else who thought that was awful? Or do they just hand the writers crayons and allow them to write any sort of drivel?

Stuart Blackburn consults his hat, if it doesn't object then the line stays in.

Perhaps the script editors only work with some of the younger, less experienced writers? If not then no, there really is no excuse!

Corrie have used 'bastard' twice pre-watershed in the last 10 years.

I think the odd swear-word wouldn't go amiss! It sounds so stupid when characters are angry and say "Flipping" or similar!! Let's be realistic - and sod the kids!!
They've said 'bloody' and 'bugger' on Doctor Who. We've had 'Bastard' on Little House!!
Kids know more swear words than US!!

And after 9pm - it should be all hell let loose as far as I'm concerned! Other channels allow it for goodness sake. I'm not condoning swearing all the time - but it adds to a bit more reality in our day and age! And it creates impact (within reason!!)

If you don't agree - F**K You!

He did give us the giddy b!tch line.

I thought Liz was referring to him not being able to keep it in his pants ie calling him a sticky mess. I don't think alcoholism is his only addiction.

Say what you mean, mean what you say. Was that bit in the script left blank to fill in the gap with whatever sprung to mind at the time?
Words fail me, as they did it seems Liz. Surprised just before destroying what little was left of Tinas head that Rob didnt come out with something also completely inane. Like '' Tina, you have really upset me, and I dont like you anymore, so I am gonna hit you with my lite saber that I got out of that bin over there and then you wont be able to come out and play anymore coz I wont be your friend, And then as a little finale stick his tongue out when walking away saying nah nah nah nah nah.

I think most know the meaning - doesn't stop it being a piece of terrible writing.

Spineless.

I knew what she meant, i just didn't understand why she paused before she said it, it was like she didn't know what to say, so just blurted jellyfish out, you're a..............jellyfish.

Worst writer on the show; wasn't he hired by wifey producer-at-time Kim Crowther?

Given her tenure that's hard to swallow.

Didn't they say "shit" in the Frescho seige episode which was shown post watershed?

He had worked as a writer on the show before his wife became the producer.

Really? For how long? I vaguely remember him arriving under Steve Frost, very bizarre how wifey got the job after him. And they both aren't brilliant at their jobs either.
