Peter, us and everyone in the room were waiting to see what she'd come out with and he was baffled by 'jellyfish', looked quizzically at her and replied 'Thanks'. I thought it was brilliant, actually. Some of the lines last night were excellent - the always funny Steve is especially so the more heightened the tension. THIS is what Corrie does so well.”
I thought it was funny too, the more so because it was unexpected. Liz came out with a word you'd never have thought was going to emerge, but it was right - Peter is spineless and it summed him up well. The 'so we're cool' was deliberately lame I thought, with Peter once again trying to weasel his way out of situations and not face up to the consequences properly. He does that often, and lapses into self-pity too.
