I loved Tina too, she's always been herself no matter what. Well apart from the whole Peter affair thing, which was an aberration due to her losing the plot because of her problems etc.
She didn't deserve that, it was horrible but now she has been immortalised into the Coronation street hall of fame and I'm glad in a way that she stood up and continued to let Rob have it, because that was her spirit and she was true to herself. She would never have backed down even to save her own life. Poor Tina, she was too big for them.

John Stape went through hell for being a hapless accidental murderer but you can't imagine him bludgeoning somebody to death with malicious intent. That was just foul tonight and it upset me tbh.
The standards on Corrie are completely up the left.
They demand that we feel outraged about one of the characters making an insidious comment to another,, but then they use a character who is supposedly a lovable rogue type and show him cold bloodedly murdering a young woman and walking away as if he's just pinched somebody's car, and showing about as much compassion for her. Sick.
Horrible Corrie.”

probably not, they probably will take the character down the villain route.

It's just one of those accidents of life, being in debt to drug dealers; it could happen to anyone. I didn't realise drug dealing was run on credit - unless you were buying in bulk. However, that's a long way from :

“He goes from a reasonable nice enough character, a bit of a rogue whose worst crime was just flogging stolen goods”

He is not a nice character, he's a career criminal. Who wasn't even attempting to go straight, which would have been a redeeming quality.

It would have been better if Tina had of laid still and he checked her pulse, then he is about to call an ambulance, but Sean turns up, sees Tina on the ground, Rob standing over her, so he screams like a girl and tries to run, but Rob whallops him just for the sake of it, Tina dies without saying anything and Sean survives but is too scared to say anything and eventually leaves the cobbles to get away.

Don't thikn they should have made Rob into a really bad guy (pre-meditated murder).
i too was just beginning to warm to him with how he is with Carla once he knew about the Baby.
I am taking it that he doesn't get caught for the murder of Tina? (aqnyone else have any thoughts on this?)

That's twice they've done it recently. Karl became a murderer in his fifties despite having no history of violence beforehand.

I presume we're going to have another daft saga like the Karl one where the police are utterly incapable of solving the case, whereas in reality the incident that happened last night would probably be solved in a matter of days by detectives and Rob charged with murder.

It's a "save your own skin" type of thing that I suppose you'd only know if you'd carry it out if you found yourself in that situation.

Also, and most importantly ...It's a soap

The vast majority of people wouldn't take the option of killing someone in order to stop getting in trouble with the police (for the simple reason that that would land you in a hundred times more trouble, as well as being morally wrong). I would have thought btw Rob would have been in state of blind panic after the killing last night, especially when talking to Tracy.....for all he knows, he may be hours away from being arrested and charged with murder.
