I've been catching up with the live shows in the mornings and so far I've ended up fast forwarding through the majority of the acts. The level of talent, particularly on the Tuseday and Wednesday shows was absolutely dire. Not to mention that we now have a Canadian and a French act in the finals....

Yesterday's show might have been the straw that broke the camel's back for me, I have absolutely no desire to watch the rest of the series now.

I love watching BGT, and I doubt I'll stop watching until it's cancelled, but I agree with you about the three French guys, I don't see the appeal either.

I vote every night, but whoever else is voting got it seriously wrong last night, those three French guys were terrible. I can't believe that won the public vote.

I don't want a foreign act to win, but I don't mind that the magician got through, cos he was good at what he does, but three French men bending their legs and doing the moonwalk with heels on? That's taking the piss.

Change the title to "The Talent Show" and you can then scrape the barrels across the world if you have to.

Last year there was a few acts that were decent.
This year it is flat , auditions were disappointing , it has been boring and quite a few dire acts have made it.
Even those doing well , i think we have just seen it all before.

DOI made a good call to end. And other long running reality shows - BB , X factor , IACGMOOF and BGT have gone on for years and are all past their sell by date.
Strictly is doing the best and even that has lasted a long time.
You don't see anything new on anyone of them anymore it is all recycled from previous years.
Yet they will just go on & on & on.

Tbh I think BGT had got a few years left in the pot before a rest, but with Big Brother, X Factor and I'm A Celeb those need to end

Maybe Simon should do his World's Got Talent show, and showcase that in the winter replacing X a Factor, that might bring in a huge interest of the nation, and planet

Foreigners like the fact it's named BGT as they consider it the world's top variety show...so says Darcy and a fee other foreign acts.

Despite the dodgy quality this year, surprisingly I think some real stars may emerge. Darcy, Lettice and young James Wotsit for sure. May be more.

I always thought Americas Got Talent was the best show for acts, I mean $1 Million and they're own Las Vegas show us much more appealing to me than £100,000 and performing once in front of Miss Liz and her spoilt family

Maybe America doesn't let non US citizens in the show?

I don't know but Darcy didn't rate AGT and said Canada's Got Talent only lasted a season. I don't think AGT acts get the global exposure that some of the top BGT acts have gotten. May be AGT is too insular.

Its not all about the prize money as to why a talent show is the "best" or "most famous" one to appear on.

I thought they had until I saw an advert for auditions for BGT for 2015.

I only watch the semi-finals and possibly the final.

I hope Collabro win this series - their voices and harmonies are amazing
