I didn't think Tina would have anymore talking scenes after her fall yesterday, so shocked yes.

Personally, it didn't shock me. I knew Tina survived (til next week anyway lol) and even though I haven't been watching Corrie for long, I had a feeling Rob had a nasty streak and that he could possibly commit a cold blooded murder. I think Corrie need to take a leaf from Eastenders' and even Hollyoaks book when it comes to surprises (even though Hollyoaks are too obvious with them now) .

Agreed, I'm disappointed that scene didn't get to play out in the storyline. I really wanted silly young Tina to realise that she'd messed with the wrong biatch this time!

I have not seen this but one thing confuses me. Did she not scream when she fell and alert other people?

Chesney appeared to hear something didn't he? Rob saw him from the balcony. But went back to the kebab shop

Rest of the street was dead, everyone was in the pub or in bed!

I'm stuck in two minds about this - on the one hand when Rob went over to her after he heard she was still alive I knew he was going to hit her again in the end, so that didn't shock me so much. But when it started I thought it was going to be someone else - probably Carla after seeing the preview scenes - so it surprised me that it ended up being Rob hitting her again. I voted 'not shocked' but I had my hand over my mouth all the way through and was gripped, I wonder what happens next!

Well obviously!

Perhaps I should have worded the poll question: "Were you shocked when Rob finished off Tina tonight?" then.

Yeah I think most people were more shocked it was Rob finishing her off rather than the fact she got finished off.

Call me disturbed.... (and I know it's impossible now Victoria Court has been dead-ended... but I'd have been shocked had Tracy and Tony sped back to Coronation Street in the van, knocking Tina down as she stumbled back onto her feet...

Roy had been looking out his window earlier I wonder if he saw anything

It shocked me as soon as the camera focused on the Steel Bar in the bin. As soon as that happened you knew what came next.

'I was born gobby'
'Yeah, & you'll die gobby an' all'

Maybe Rita finishes her off?

I knew she wasn't dead, but I didn't think Rob would be the one to finish her off.

There was something very haunting about Tina getting back up though.

^^Agreed - this, the first sentence^^

Just knew that was what was coming then - with the handily placed crowbar.

Followed by Beth's champagne cork-popping scene in t'Rovers.

Which was again reminiscent of the butchering of Maxine - the scene which followed was with meat being carved in t'Rovers I think, in thinking back to it.

"I was born gobby" and "you'll die gobby!"

A la "you should've stayed at the party, Maxine!!!" lol.

I was surprised because I didn't realise there was actually going to be a twist; I thought DS users were simply speculating whether there would be one.

It would've been even more interesting if Carla witnessed the last thwack.

Or as has been pointed out elsewhere, i think - for Carla to have finished Tina off.

With Rob being left thinking he'd done it.

Now, that would have been more interesting.

What was interesting though in those closing few minutes was the realisation that Rob's actions have unwittingly and unfortunately made Carla look guilty - which wouldn't have been his intention, obviously. Also the realisation that everyone knew about Peter and Tina (albeit by that point) because Peter had just confessed. All of that threw him.

So could still be interesting, whatever - given the whole Carla / Rob / Peter history - like with all the previous factory stuff between them all.

I was surprised at the twist also, I really didn't think Rob was a killer. I was more shocked that he hid the murder weapon in his own back yard. So now the speculation is who will find it and figure it out....I think too that Carla will eventually be blamed and Rob will be torn about letting his sister go to jail for something he did.

What I did find very unbelievable is that Rob would go to such measures to save his sister's marriage to an alcoholic, adulterous loser who he hates. It seems out of character for someone who urged Carla not to marry Peter. What would have been more credible was Rob encourage Peter to do a moonlight flit with Tina when he uncovered the affair. This is the man who was defrauding his sister a few months ago.

I can believe he would do it to save his own skin though. I mean, after the push off the balcony (accident or not), he pretty much had to kill Tina to keep her quiet about that, even if she did not know about his knock-off gear. He would have been going down for GBH or attempted murder regardless.

I thought it was utterly ridiculous. She gets up with a few ohs and ums like a zombie, barely a hair out of place and continues gobbing off like a fishwife, and of course Rob is so overcome with fear he goes from bubbling accidental would-be killer to calculating, cold-hearted murderer in the space of 5 minutes. Typical Corrie crap!

I was shocked, and really liked how it was scripted and acted - Rob's darker side winning over his desire to be a better man.

Tina clearly took some flying lessons from John Stape.

So nobody in the Victoria Court flats saw anything, nobody in the houses next to the Butchers (are they empty?), nobody walking past?

How convenient.

Also how convenient that Roy chose that time to stop looking through the window.
