I am thinking of currying some favour by sharing my 4 stream Netflix account with a few family and friends. Is this a bad idea?
Thanks for any help.

Just get them to create their own profiles so it doesn't mess up you're watched/list ect.
As long as you know they can be trusted there shouldn't be any issues.

Netflix let's you sign up for up to 5 ppl to have access to it with their own profiles etc but obviously you'd have to get one of the more expensive packages for 5 people to use the same account all at once

I use Netflix on my Samsung Smart TV, and my family use it on another. The problem here is that these devices don't support profiles and I end up with recommendations based on what teenage movies my sister has watched

I have 2 other people on my Netflix account, but only 2 people can watch at once, unless you opt for paying more a month to add more. This has only ever happened once where all 3 of us were watching Netflix as 2 of us were off work ill and the other was unemployed for a week! lol

I'm pretty sure its against the T&C to share your login with anyone but members of your household so you risk having your account banned and being blacklisted

All those years ago the answer to the actual question was posted here. Standard subscription permits 2 people to watch at once. It doesn't matter who. My daughter who lives in London uses one and I who live in the North West use the other. She once gave the password to a friend and I couldn't get on (and I am paying!) rapid change of password........ If you double the subscription you double the users.
Out of interest, when I called Netflix (very good customer service) they could actually tell me the devices that the films were being watch on, where they were located (London) and what the films were (that's how I figured out it was my daughter's friend).
