Having a heart attack and potentially dying. What if, perhaps, he is being killed off because Michael French requested a break, or to leave and come back in a few months, and DTC has decided to kill him off because of that? Sounds harsh, but if David is killed off, it would send a very strong message to the rest of the cast that Eastenders is somewhere you should be committed to, and not a revolving door for you to come and go as you please.

I don't think DTC would be like that. I'm guessing that (if David does die) then it was a mutual decision by both parties and the reason Michael came back. David was only on a short term contract when DTC took over and was able to get Michael to sign on for a few extra months for the current/upcoming storyline.

I don't understand this obsession with 'the revolving door' and need to close it permanently. Also form the 'revolving door' point of view it appears that DTC is all for this with the characters he has brought back on a guest/temp/permanent basis.
