Emmerdale: Emma Barton
The fact that James' runaway wife Emma keeps getting mentioned has to be significant, right? If they wanted to introduce James as a single father they could've just said she died years ago. So she's obviously been kept alive for a reason. Either she will turn up in the village at a later date, or she'll be found buried under a patio somewhere...
Option number 2 might finally make James a bit more interesting but it'll be laughable if Chas has gone from one killer to another. She should just give up on blokes altogether and run off with that women who was eyeing her up last night. |

I don't agree with any parent who walks out on their kids because the relationship is over, so if she comes back now it will be unrealistic and annoying. Why would she return, what reason would she have other than to beg for a kidney off one of her sons

I'm hoping she turns up buried under a patio/in the top field of the farm that James used to run/buried in a barn somewhere.
It would make sense - as it's very unusual for a mother to walk out on her kids - unless it's a domestic violence situation - particularly as Finn wasn't much more than a baby (at least from what I thought James was saying last night). |

Nor do I. What sort of mother walks out on her young children because her relationship with their father has fizzled out? I say there's more to this story than we've been told so far.

I think he's talking absolute B-S about Emma. The man's a swagging, heavy breathing contradicting with personal space issues. Things he says rarely make sense and go against his previous actions.

I thought that writing 'Emmerdale' in the thread title was enough of a clue that it wasn't about EE. Guess not...

A lot of woman suffer from post natal depression and some are severe. I don't think they intentionally leave their family, but they are ill and are not thinking straight. Very sad for everyone.
