Ain't karma a bitch Brian?”

Why is it that people always try to defend a case of someone being picked on and belittled as "banter"?

I didn't mind Jim on BB, but he certainly treated Brian like crap on Hell's Kitchen. And, frankly, whether he meant it in a jokey way or not, he'd be a moron to think that harassing someone on the basis of their sexuality wouldn't get him thrown off the show.

I feel for him, but it just became very clear, very fast, that they mixed up the presenting hierarchy completely at the beginning.

I did'nt like Brian in the house, and i did'nt like him as a presenter, especially his horrible gay innuendos every week, but finding out he was sacked through the papers was wrong

Emma Willis was happy when he got the sack! Result!

Yes that was quite convenient that jim was a bit tied up under false pretences that year.

Belittlement, judgement and "banter" are always going happen. It's how people deal with it that makes them a better person. Brian didn't deal with it atall well and made himself look a fool. Had he have dealt with it better he would have gained a bit more respect.
Anyway, I liked Brian when he won BB2. But he progressively disappeared up his own backside.

And at least the papers gave him the heads up to soften the blow.

I feel bad for him but I bet that's what all TV people are like, one minute your hot and next minute your not, its sad like that

For the record Emma Willis is a great successor!

I think he leered over all the male contestants and it got a bit much for people. and "JUST SAYIN" became tedious, uncool and Damn right embarrassing.

it's hard to say what was wrong with him , I was never keen on Brian but I actually don't think he was bad at it on a professional level - I mean I don't remember him fluffing his lines that often etc.

but he was kinda smug , and his personality just didn't work as a presenter somehow .

I thought Rylan would be a disaster , but he's quite self-deprecating which is a smart move , it makes him more likeable .

It's like they thought it was a show that didn't really need a proper presenter, like it wasn't really much more than camp trash. That's been the problem the problem on CH5. It's recovered slightly but it's hard to envision it ever getting back to what it was on this channel.

Oh please. You're actually suggesting that they booked Jim on the show because they knew he would be arrested and unable to appear?

I have never been a fan of Brain, not as a housemate both times, or when he was presenting the main show!

But to be fair what a rotten way to find out you have lost you're job? That is just nasty & he didn't deserve to be treated like that! A bit of common decency would have helped,
I wish Brian well in his new show & for the future!

The circumstances of his firing were not ideal, but man, Brian SUCKED! Even after giving him a pass after the first season or 2, he was so terrible that I stopped watching his segments. Emma was way better and he should not have had the job for that long.

Mid-season? More like mid commercial.

He should have never been considered as the host. Absolutely dreadful. Thank god, the calls for Emma to take over were finally answered.

I agree. At the start of one of the first couple of BB shows that he hosted he said something while presenting it about wondering if any of that year's housemates would go on to become future TV stars and host TV shows, then he pretended to looked pensive and asked something like "I wonder who that has happened to?" then a smug smile beamed across his face as he drew attention to himself in the act of hosting the show.
I couldn't believe that I actually saw that and thought how smug and conceited he came across. It certainly didn't appear to be the behaviour of a professional TV presenter.

However I noticed that in the interview with him on the first page he appears to admit that his head did get a bit too big around that time. I have respect for him for him to publicly draw attention to that, as he didn't have to. It does demonstrate that he is self aware and can see fault in himself. Which I think is an admirable trait to possess.

I remember that but took it as a bit of fun! The British Public hate to see people succeed!
