I'm Three and have All In One 15 on Pay as you go, for the last few weeks my internet has become extremely slow between 3pm and 12am.

I tweeted @ThreeUKSupport about it and they said it only happens if you do P2P sharing which I'm not really sure about.

It's TrafficSense, and will trigger if you're doing certain things - such as P2P.

There's information on the Three website that explains how it works.

Rather than list every single thing that might trigger TrafficSense, can you say what services you're using?

Do you mean when browsing the internet on your phone or via tethering?

I mainly just browse internet but use Twitter and Snapchat too.

You wouldn't be allowed to tether on PAYG of course.

I'm not saying it wouldn't work (as in my experience, you can do it), but Three could jump in and cut your data until you stopped tethering, so a slower speed would actually be getting off lightly.

While TrafficSense could be kicking in here, the hours of operation are because that's when the network is considered to be more heavily loaded. As such, if there's congestion in the area then it may well be a case of being slowed down because of that.

Can I also ask how the OP knew the hours of slow down were exactly between 3pm and midnight? That would suggest to me that there's rather a lot of data usage, and the sort of usage where you'd notice the slow down.

Web browsing, Twitter and Snapchat doesn't sound like the sort of usage where a slow down would have a massive impact.
