That's true. But I mean from the very beginning. By not reporting, JP essentially has allowed a rapist to roam free in the village as well as in a school and put others (Blessing) at risk to be victimised. Of course, JP had a lot of shame about being raped, but it's too bad he couldn't get beyond that and think of the bigger picture of the dangers of allowing a rapist to be out among the other villagers.

Think its obvious esther took the keys and robbie will get the blame.

I think because Sinead's misdeeds are very out in the open. Diane did try to defend Sinead during the bullying storyline, but Sinead's bad behaviour after that had been so open that Diane couldn't ignore it. Also, I think because of Sinead, Diane had been looking at Finn as her good kid (at least compared to Sinead) and needed to hold on to that. Obviously, Diane's in for a very rude awakening.
