A lot of parents have different rules for their daughters than for their sons and/or for their eldest than for their youngest.
To be fair to Diane, I think i'd find it hard to look at it too.
Diane probably just doesn't want to look out of fear of what she may find!!

I hope poor Blessing will be okay. That sicko looked like he was filming beating her up. Thank God Dirk intervened before Finn could do any more damage. If Blessing dies Finn will be a murderer. I can see Robbie, JP and Sinead all getting suspicious when they learn of the attack on Blessing.

Finn has done a very good job of hiding his true nature from Diane. That is part of what Finn found so threating about JP that he was going to expose him to her. The audience has far more information about Finn than Diane would be able to guess at this point. I think Diane reasonably could convince herself that Finn has some innocuous pictures and Sinead wants to cause trouble. She doesn't want to know at the moment and assuming the worst about Sinead didn't really work out so well for her.

That's a very good point. I don't like Diane at all but it is possible she is trying to learn from her mistakes with Sinead by giving Finn the benefit of the doubt and not doing something that would turn him against her. And looking at somebody's Web history could be considered a huge invasion of trust and privacy. We as the audience know that the ends would justify the means but if he is innocent (which to her mind he could be) then she is just going to have betrayed him for no good reason and if he found out they'd be hell to pay in their relationship. Plus, does a mum really want to review what her teenage lad is wanking over which is what she'll be assuming it is.
