Brilliant haha!
Love how you're comparing an add on/bolt on to a standard rate service. To keep it fair i'm going to quote O2's pay as you go prices here which are 25p a minute, 12p a text and £1 per day for internet. Three offer 3p a min, 2p a text and 1p a mb. It's clear to see that Three's offer is miles better. If you compare like for like which is an add on for an add on then O2 offer 200 Minutes, 2000 texts and 1GB of 4G data for £15. Three offer 300 Minutes, 30000 texts and unlimited data for £15. Once again, Three's offer is better. If you're going to be bias then at least get the facts right ok. Don't just compare two completely different things just to make your point. Come on Jabbamk1, do the maths - EDIT oh I see you already did £112 on Three and £600 on O2. |

The usual cavalry charge.........to try and discredit....... why?
I DID MENTION 3's PAYG monthly tariff option..... the £23 one!!!! That compares to O2's with more inclusive benefits but I guess that was not enough to satisfy! The point being made is that comparing contract deals is not realistic when evaluating PAYG tariffs with no commitment. I guess the same persistent individuals who keep responding to my input here and make their usual attempts to post anything possible to discredit any post I make will continue and I have no doubt that that repeated behaviour has been noted by many others who regularly read the forum. I can predict with almost 100% certainty what will follow every post I make here now! |

But like I said, that's contract, not pay as you go so the two are not comparable. As you said yourself in an earlier post. But obviously you;ll deny the fact that you just contradicted yourself. Quote:
Hard to compare a PAYG monthly tariff with no commitment to one with a 24 month minimum contract.
But hey, it's not like I expected you to say Three had any good deals/is a good network so whatever. |

The £23 deal is the closest to the £20 O2 deal.......
3's £12.90 1 month rolling SIM only is for 1GB of data only or 200 inclusive minutes. To get close to O2's offer you have to buy 3's £23 deal to get the same number of minutes, texts and data on the same type of plan. Once the allowance goes beyond a level it becomes academic as most don't use 1000's of texts and massive amounts of minutes and data consumption is averaged at about 2GB a month for 3's users anyway. So the £23 a month 1 month 3 SIM only tariff is the closest comparison realistically to O2's Big Bundle £20 a month offering. |

Read my posts properly and do your research rather than posting your bias crap. Once again you fail to admit you're wrong. Also you've failed to take into account Three's pay as you go deals and are once again contradicting yourself by comparing pay as you go to contract. Can you honestly not see how hypocritical you're being. |

It seems to be that the same contributors appear within minutes of my posts to make challenges and attempt to personalise and discredit anything I have stated.
Perhaps the time has come for DS to investigate what is happening as there is a clear pattern of activity involving the same small group ganging up on one individual on the mobile phone forum. I shall allow that possibility to be considered and move on to other topics where I hope the same does not occur ....... but if it does......I will make the appropriate representation to have it stopped permanently as those involved are on my ignore list and are not responded to in any personal manner. |

No one is trying to discredit you, it's just some of the stuff you posted is incorrect. So we are correcting you. (because you always post incorrect bias stuff about one network). |

I have moved on from this predictable witch hunt.......
I hope others may be able to discuss the latest O2 PAYG 4G deals without antagonism and other contributors repeated promotion of their favoured networks. The evidence....... "Back on topic. As I mentioned before, 3's Pay as you go offers are better". But the topic was O2's 4G PAYG....... ![]() I am leaving this to others to attempt to discuss...... I am sure they won't be subject to similar hostile attention but I am also very sure they won't be able to make any reasonable point without being shouted down! |

Hard to compare a PAYG monthly tariff with no commitment to one with a 24 month minimum contract. It has to be remembered that not all customers who apply can get contracts for a variety of reasons.
O2's £20 buys 2048MB of data, 4000 SMS and 400 inclusive minutes. They also include Wi-Fi and Priority Moments exclusive deals. If you used the same on 3's 321 PAYG tariff it would cost £20.48 for the data, £80 for the SMS, and £12 for the inclusive calls making a grand total of £112.48! 3 offer other monthly PAYG deals for SIM only customers including one at £23 which offers 2000 minutes, 5000 SMS and 'All You Can Eat' Data. The correct PAYG comparison on Three would be £15 for 300 minutes, 3000 texts and unlimited data. On what you like to call a "monthly PAYG for sim only customers" (aka a sim only contract), the correct comparison would be £12.90 for 200 minutes, 5000 text and unlimited data. Quote:
It's easy to find deals that better others but many customers remain with networks they are familiar with and who they feel offer them good service even if that means they don't get the best deal available. Not everyone wants to shop at Lidl, Aldi and B&M's which is good news for Sainsburys, Marks and Spencer and Waitrose, all of whom sell very similar products at much higher prices!
There is a market for premium priced services and O2 offer that proposition. They also have a 50% share in Tesco Mobile and their own GiffGaff offering for price conscious customers of course. One size does not fit all and having a presence in different market segments makes very good business sense. O2 premium? Are you having a laugh, in your supermarket analogy O2 would be The Pound Shop (but charging £10 per item). The only thing premium about O2 PAYG is the price. |
