Fastest rural Speedtest.net ever??!! (on Three UK network)
So this was me a few days ago. Am constantly impressed by the Three coverage and indeed the speeds I am getting...even in the middle of nowhere!

It's barely readable but I am guessing you got 11Mbit.
That's good but not terribly impressive, I can easily do 25+Mbps on the cell site just outside my village. But it's always nice how usable the service is when in the middle of nowhere. |

Methlick, tiny village middle of no where gets around 12 on EE and higher on Three (seen 20+ Most of village is on Orange as until MBNL, only one to get signal there.. Hence speed difference). Mast is microwaved to a 4G ready mast in a large town (which isn't activate yet)

I have noticed this on Three, was out in the sticks a few weeks ago Macclesfield forest in fact.....obviously less people to use the network but achieved similar speeds mentioned here.....I just don't get it how in the country does one expect no signal and get it, yet in the suburbs or the city it is lacking (on Three admittedly, 2G is a help with EE).

I noticed the 3G EE signal has improved around Methlick, I get full H+ signal at the back gate of Haddo now. Used to be 2G Orange only (despite there being an Orange 3G transmitter in Methlick for ages). Must have been refurbished when MBNL'd. I should have noticed that it had been brought into MBNL, as it's now outputting the T-Mobile network code. It's interesting that the Turriff Orange 3G mast is yet to be done, it's quite a large town and Three have no coverage there. |
