Penance Carter. Another of Shirley's previously unmentioned brood. Probably another of her children. She sold Penance to a travelling circus as a baby, only the circus wasn't any normal circus (possibly interdimensional) and it causes all kinds of trouble when it breezes through Walford and pitches up on the common (how handy is that place now?). As she so often does, Sharon becomes immediate BFFs with Penance, calling her 'Penny' for short, even though she's told not to. Denny could wander into one of the circus tents and end up falling through a haunted mirror into a parallel Walford.
